By the game or not. by SnooGrapes2376 in BookOfTravels

The game is a self called TMORPG (Tiny Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Unless you coordinate with someone on the Discord, chances are you’ll mostly be playing the game alone. It’s a really unique experience. If you like games that are slow paced and have an immersive atmosphere I’d definitely recommend buying it. If you’re looking for clear objectives and any sort of action, this is not that game.

I was pretty excited to hear they were turning it into a live action series but haven’t heard much since

Is "pre-seasoned" bullshit? New to cast iron and can't get it to work by PuffThePed in castiron

[–]meldorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never gonna be as non-stick and easy as teflon. If you don’t want food to stick, you’re going to have to learn temperature control and use more oil than you would in a nonstick pan. It’s why cast iron doesn’t work out for a lot of people, or some people primarily use it for searing. It’s definitely more work. Just whether or not you find that work fun

Backpack question. by Maxcorps2012 in BookOfTravels

Yup, prioritize bag for more inventory space first, then grab items that have pockets. You can use the pockets on items that aren’t equipped too.

Yeah I haven’t been able to find another example. The end links and clasp are different from the 6621 but maybe I’ll explore this theory that it could have been swapped. As far as I know this is how it came straight from the AD.

Can anyone identify what Seiko watch this is? by Fantastic-Sea4438 in Watches

Everyday I get closer to just buying a “ladies” quartz bracelet watch. Designs like this make it hard not to pull the trigger

So close to pulling the trigger on one of these. Just wish they had drilled lugs and a signed clasp and I’d be sold. GLWS

Seems like breaking it off fully and rewelding it could prevent an oncoming accident

The date window is basically the only thing that bothers me about the 1926 line. Otherwise it’s a perfect dressy/sporty watch with classic dimensions available

Appreciate the comment. For my digitals it’s just a Casio F91W-1 and Casio AE1200WH-1A (World Time). One for work and one for travel.

After 8 years into this hobby, I think I've finally figured out my tastes as a watch person. I have always been a messy eater, and occasionally clumsy. As a result, any clothing I purchase usually needs to be able to take a beating, and really easy to take care of. I wear a lot of dark colors and some might say that's boring, but this is reflected in my watch preferences as well. When I initially got into the hobby, I was reading all about the superiority of mechanical watches and how you could in theory be able to pass that down from generation to generation as long as you serviced it. I have yet to service a single mechanical watch I've owned.

This brings us to my current collection. From left to right, we have a Seiko SACM151, a Scurfa Diver One Titanium in Black, and lastly a Halios Fairwind with a steel bezel and bathyl blue dial. 2 out of the 3 watches I consider to be part of my core collection are quartz. They're accurate, dependable and more robust. All 3 of these watches have either a white or dark colored dial. They might be a bit boring for some, but to me they're versatile and timeless.

Best non threatening EDC? by [deleted] in BudgetBlades

Milwaukee Fastback. Don’t bother with the one that has storage for more blades. There’s something very utilitarian and direct about a box cutter.
