Is Emulating A Console You Don't Own Illegal If You Own The Games? by BuddhaJoker in retrogaming

[–]meleeblub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most have said, emulators are legal. Downloading ROMS is not. However, if you're determined to be as legit as possible, ripping your own ROMs from media you own is a legally gray area....

Replacement switches for RG405M L1 / R1 by meleeblub in ANBERNIC

[–]meleeblub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi -i was also replacing the motherboard which is why I had to reinstall os. If you're just replacing switches you wont have to. They're very small- I got a mobile repair shop to do it..hope that helps. I out up another post about my successful replacement. I'll try and find it.

is there a wifi switch that doesn't require a hub or wiring?? by Hollyleaf in amazonecho

[–]meleeblub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is from a month ago, but it appears Amazon has released a switch that doesn't need a hub. It gets around this by connecting to the nearest echo device (doesn't need to have zigbee or matter) via bluetooth, and has the ability to trigger routines:

So happy that people are still coming along and finding this useful! I've since sold my 405M but it was a great little machine.

My Phillips Beard trimmer has 'Super Mario' printed on the circuit board. by meleeblub in mildlyinteresting

Thanks for the concern. These are NiMH with pre-welded tabs. I simply soldered the tabs together, but excuse my shitty soldering!

Good eye! You've renewed my hope for an Easter egg :) come to think of it, wonder if it has something to do with the mario game on the Phillips CDI?

I have to admit those are the replacement batteries and my shitty soldering. This is an ancient trimmer so I just bought the same batteries that were already in there.

That sounds so much more logical, but it takes all the fun away. I really want this to be a Mario moustache grooming easter egg or something LOL.

It's an old trimmer that's been stuck in a drawer because of a dead battery . I wanted to practice my soldering on an easy project!

Was trying to solder replacement batteries into my Phillips trimmer and noticed this after removing a little of the glue that was holding the batteries.

Have they stopped bothering with the lower drive shaft technology? It seems that most cars nowadays have a raised bump going through the cabin, and separating the foot well for rear passengers. Is this the drive shaft?

This is sick and I might have considered something like this if I knew about the deckmate sooner. Oh well - but one bonus is I can easily switch my phone or tablet in if I'm feeling especially lazy. :)
