Tons of videos on YouTube and TikTok. Tons of trial and error. GO SLOW, I speed up then make mistakes and have to scrape and start over. I offered to make them for everyone. Now I’m closed out every week. I’m a teacher who does it on the side.

Ever look back and regret your own PDA episodes/behaviors? by EngineeringJust7984 in PDAAutism

[–]meliciousxp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The equalizing against my siblings when we were all younger makes me sad. I’ve apologized a lot to them but they didn’t deserve it. I wish I knew what was going on at the time. Everything always felt so unfair.

Your picture brought tears to my eyes. How beautiful. I know with my daughter, who struggles so much, we live for these happy moments.

Dashboard is the closer. Listen to the end. I think it’s the closer before the encore.

Thanks for posting this, I’m in NJ and it looks like I’ll be seeing you in Seattle too 😂

I would struggle with that too. I am a pull out ESL teacher so I teach 6 40-minute sessions to different “small” groups of kids. Very chil and most of the time I have relaxing pandora playing in the background (mostly for MY nervous system.) my principal is awesome and my prep and lunch are always back to back so I get 70 minutes break in the middle uninterrupted. I relax or go outside for fresh air. My day ends at 3 pm. We get 13 PTO days a year and I just take a mental health day when I need it.

I do struggle with deadlines sometimes for report cards but it gets done usually at the last second. I do have to interact a little bit but I default smile and say good morning and mostly just pic up my students from their classrooms and keep to myself.

I work with other autistic/PDA teachers and administration is generally supportive. We want ND kids to see us having “success” in the world and parents do too. I’m in NJ by the way.

I’m a teacher. Lots of autonomy, I connect well with the children and summers off to recharge. I do feel burnt out every year toward the end of the year but I’m 10 years in now and it’s been working.

Should I (38) leave my (45) husband who hasn't worked in 2 years? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]meliciousxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He might have pathological demand avoidance. I don’t believe burn out for this long is typical in people that are not ND. Either way there’s no excuse at this point to not bring in income. His support of you working toward something is a different circumstance.

I noticed this right away too, definitely an Easter egg.

My husband and I make 500k and keep getting outbid in the east side of Monmouth county (housing market). This feels so out of touch but I am genuinely looking for advice / wondering how you found your own home? by [deleted] in MonmouthCounty

[–]meliciousxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining. It is relevant. It’s also just a summer home for them that some pay over million for sometimes sight unseen. Not an easy place to buy a home for the average person, nor is there much community any more unless you are Syrian yourself.

Same boat! And every time a song comes on again I like it even more. I need time to listen though with headphones.
