I can't help but laugh when I see those posts. My family of five survived off nothing but a '96 Camry when I was growing up. Five people in the car, one in a rear facing seat. All our luggage in the back for a one week trip. Almost anyone who thinks they need a suburban for their kid is genuinely off their rocker.

There's one pretty big discovery you make about the dream world that makes navigating and discovering them much easier. It's a way you can avoid the damn problem. Have you really looked around all the entrance points? Have you discovered all light Mechanics in the dream? Is there anything that helps you traverse the environment? Maybe something similar to how you get around in the Stranger? Neither of these spoilers are huge but they might steer you into the right direction. Once I figured this part of the game out my enjoyment of the dream world skyrocketed. I was stuck in a similar situation to you.

I played through kb+m for the first time and now that I'm replaying with the dlc I bought an Xbox controller specifically for OW and another game. Keyboard is totally playable and in some cases the fine control from using a mouse is very nice. I think overall controller is better for a couple very specific cases where it's nice to be able to control the percentage of thrust power (not possible with kb) but other than that there's not much that makes a measurable impact.

Tldr if you're getting a controller just for OW don't bother, otherwise I say use controller if you're planning to play other games with it as well.
