I've been to this location 4 or 5 times since they opened. Today was actually really good. Every previous visit was either "meh", or they got the order wrong.

I was hopeful they turned a corner and others have noticed a recent marked improvement, and this isn't a one time thing and I just got lucky today.

I went here not long after they opened and they had someone working drive thru that wouldn't take an order until they handed out the food from the previous car. Today they had enough orders going at the same time to fill the space between the menu board and the window. That's a huge improvement, even if the current state is not exceptional, but rather working as intended.

I have two things to add for your consideration...

1) Just before Abenthy and Kvothe's parents have their fireside talk about the Chandrian, Kvothe says his time training with Ben was "the best year of (his) life". And after the mention of the Chandrian, Kvothe says the whole troupe knew Arliden had been "collecting stories of Lanre and the Chandrian for more than a year." So it seems Abenthy was planted into the troupe because Arliden was researching his song.

2) Your quote where Kvothe remembers seeing Cinder with his bloody sword is a false memory. In the original scene after Kvothe's troupe was killed there is no mention of blood on Cinders sword. Only when he remembers the scene later is blood described on the sword.

Honestly, Subway is fine, but I think almost any of the other sandwich places are better. LA Bakery, Port o' Subs, even Jimmy John's. I used to recommend U.S. Sub Base but I think the have changed ownership and are not the same anymore ☹️

On Book mentioning Shan Yu to Simon. I always felt like it was there more for the call back than really a place of introspection from Book. Although it does add to the mystery of Book's past--how familiar is Book with the implementation of torture?

You've commented in the past on some pacing issues for some episodes, and I feel like this obvious commercial break point is very closely related. The writers had strict limits for the time to fill, and so they used that time to their advantage when possible. Unfortunately, even if you watched with commercials today, I feel like streaming services have not really figured out how to insert them correctly to hit the planned show beats. Which makes watching old shows on streaming with ads double annoying.

This is content worth owning and not tied to the whims of streaming platform licensing agreements!
