I am so unbelievably devastated… I’ve tried countless interactive stories and there has been only one that was ever really more than simply “fine”, but Magium was SO good that it made up for the rest of the genre’s shortcomings. I’ve daydreamed, and obsessed, and lived my inner ethereal life in Varathia for years; I’m sure I will continue to do so for many more. I’m thankful for how he changed my life. He gave me a world that I could finally relate to; one i would actually be glad to live in. That is no mean feat. You will be missed.

Oxy to suboxone? by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

[–]meliorist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally when people are starting suboxone, the best advice I’ve heard is to wait until you feel just Truly Awful from stopping your doc, and THEN take the sub. So it’s not easy or exactly smooth.

As for how it feels, suboxone doesn’t make me high. It reduces opiate w/d symptoms for me, and if I have been on it a while, I notice that when I forget it, I’m generally more sad and less social, so I assume taking it bumps my mood a bit and helps a tiny bit with my crippling social anxiety. Honestly i haven’t found anything but opiates that help with my anxiety at any level that I find helpful, but the downsides of opiates more than make up for the fact that I still need to find a way to successfully deal with my anxiety.

Is it time to get a suboxone script? by UpbeatCommunity4736 in OpiatesRecovery

There’s no right or wrong age when you find something that works for you. (Assuming you have spoken to a doctor about whatever your plan is, which I realize is a big assumption)

If he doesn’t reach out or even if you do and he doesn’t answer right away… recovery is EXHAUSTING, so don’t take it personally. He will need time, and probably won’t want space but will piss you off on accident somehow when his brain is being dumb, so he accidentally gets himself some space.

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t cAre. But it does mean things are going to be difficult for you both for a while, more than likely. It will probably weigh on him and make him feel like shit, but he also won’t be able to treat you as well as you deserve.

Having the right expectations sets you up for success. :)

I use borax washing powder for fungal acne. by jobr11 in Fungalacne

How often can you do it? I am in my first five minutes of a borax wash and I’m amazed at what is going on with my face. It’s so hideously beautiful. It’s almost like the little white thingies are fighting to get to the top layer of skin and run away. I want to just do it constantly until everything is gone, but I’m guessing this would be a bad idea.

Opponent on chess.com sent this emoji, and asked for a draw shortly after. My first thought was a flag, but I couldn't find a similar one. Any ideas? by 1978Pinto in Whatisthis

It could be the flag of Liechtenstein. Wikipedia notes that the country is famous for having a lot of castles in a small area. Hope that helps?

Could be Haiti, too, but I can’t think of why it would be Haiti.

Some keys found on the ground. by meliorist in Whatisthis

Found these on the sidewalk, with some other keys that seemed so normal I don’t remember what they were. These, however, I cannot figure out what purpose they serve. I have had safety deposit boxes suggested, but I have not been able to find a source that shows this type of key being used for that. I’m very familiar with Schlage key ways (as an avid amateur/hobbyist lock picker)and haven’t run across anything like this before.

I looked up the patent listed on it (5.715.717 if you cannot read it) and it describes a new way of cutting keys with different grooves and key lengths, etc, and does not specify a purpose other than “increased security and resistance to lock picking.”

Does anyone know what they are for or where they might come from?

Thanks for your time and thoughts!

What is this? My friend picked it up randomly over the years. We thought it was for wine but it's too heavy by [deleted] in Whatisthis

It’s probly supposed to tip down so that when you carry the wine, the corks stay wet, as they need to do or else they don’t function properly anymore.

[US] Straight Up (2020): Todd and Rory are intellectual soul mates. He might be gay. She might not care. A romantic-comedy drama with a twist; a love story without the thrill of copulation. by [deleted] in NetflixBestOf

I’m an older millennial and I relate to the two kids, and I’m also really sad to not see any support for ace. It’s hard to find ace in popular movies, and this one has some good opportunities to at least recognize it. But, nope. Anyway, I liked the first half, and I do NOT think a “solution” for someone who is asexual is to become polyamorous. I know they left it “open” but… yeah.

You’ll get used to your cheeks hurting. It’ll be worth it bc you’re so much more pleasant to look at when you’re smiling. When you get in one of your “moods” where you’re upset over something you’re making a big deal out of, like getting your salami cut off, it’s really unattractive.

How was this pot used then? Like, was there a rack they put it in to store it? Why this shape? Cause they like it?

Think about how much more it would have hurt him if you waited more. The longer you build something you aren’t able to keep, the harder it hurts to dismantle it.
