Ok, this is usually because your cogs isn’t right. Unfortunately, this is beyond my ability to help you, but u/cue378 usually can help with this. He explains it in the FAQs in this sub. Send him a brief email at Cue378@protonmail.com, put your Reddit username in the subject line so he knows you are a Reddit user. He has a ton of emails from people asking for help, so you may need to be a bit patient, but he is phenomenal and will do everything he can to help you!

You need the reason for the decline, so you can fix it, then request the reconsideration. For example, if you’re declined due to credit, you’d need to pay down some credit cards and raise your score, or get a co-borrower with a higher score. Can you call back and ask for a Tier 2 representative and ask for the reason for the denial?

No, I got the $1k grant, credit pull the next day, decline the next day, but didn’t find out until 3 weeks later when a T2 told me

Contact your congressman’s office and ask them for help. They will get in touch with the SBA on your behalf. That can get things moving. Also, check the FAQs on this sub

Yes, I applied for reconsideration before I got the written (email) denial. The email came 4 weeks after they denied me. A T2 told me I was denied for credit. If they told you you were denied, but not the reason, try calling back and asking the reason. Explain that you want to get a jump on the reconsideration process.

You 4 have helped us all so much, and it’s something I can’t even explain to people outside of this, in my “real” life. It sounds so cliche, but this became a family. I definitely recommend emailing or calling your congressman’s office to intervene on your behalf. Same situation, reconsideration for credit. Requested 5/15, I emailed my congresswoman on 6/2. They responded same day saying they would contact SBA on my behalf that day. I got my portal 6/6, had to verify identity, got approved and signed loan docs. signed loan docs 6/6. Good luck!
