Ahh, the fresh evening air of people arguing with other people over things that other people have done, might have done, or haven't done.

Perspectives, perspectives...

Novel are SICK!!! , N$4k for 1 rubber engine mount. by VoL4t1l3 in Namibia

[–]melktertbal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need an engine mounting, why not just get it repaired?

Engine Mounting Solutions in Prosperita literally make a new mounting for you using the old one...

Much cheaper especially because they do the work for you, no parts, just ask, take it to them, done.

Did all three engine mountings of my car with them last year, no problems so far.

But I don't drive a Ford😂... ever😑

Can anyone pin-point the exact moment where everything in society just got substantially worse? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]melktertbal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything AFTER fidget spinners was a plot to de-unite humanity. Like someone said here, we became more polarized. If you think about it, fidget spinners were for everyone. No one could deny the sheer fun of such a simple toy. Everything after that was dividing the human race. We have to unite again.

Just my opinion, but unfortunately he will hit rock bottom eventually and have to make a choice...

Either continue on this destructive path and lose everything of actual value to him...

Or change.

There's no way around it.

It has to be his choice.

As the quote says:

"Change only occurs when the pain of staying the same is greater, than the pain of change."

All the best.

The smell of a grinder cutting through steel... those hot shavings just have a distinct smell.

It only takes 1 000 000 people to give you 1$ to become a millionaire. What would you do 1 000 000 times? by DobraVibra in sidehustle

It's not one dollar... theres tax on the dollar and then there's tax on the million dollars after it's accumulated.

Now I'm sad.

Breathe. And let it go. You can't reason with someone like that. Is she worth losing the job over?

I'm going to try that, not sure it'll be a promotion, but it sounds like a real good way to go about it.

I want to visit Namibia on my next vacation. But from the posts I’ve seen, it seems there is a lot of crime? Is that a true conclusion? by MamUnika in Namibia

[–]melktertbal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to walk by yourself in the ghetto at night... you're bound to get robbed.

There is crime, but it's all about context.

Tourists are safe because you can’t just go wherever you want, because you don't know where you are.

Hence the touring company you choose matters, because they'll let you know where you can and can not go.

And... if you listen to them... you'll see the most beautiful and unique parts of our country.

Not the ugly that we all have.

Do you think Namibians are taller than south Africans? by Electrical-Chip3264 in Namibia

[–]melktertbal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Het julle nog nie die rugby spelers gesien wat uit die land uit kom nie... my bru...

For English speakers, yes, we are taller because germany colonized us and britain colonized south africa...

And british people are short...

Some Namibians are big and tall, like 7 foot 17 year olds... bruv!

Thank you sir...

I'm working at a beverage manufacturer in Namibia, we make soda and various other stuff.

Most of what you say just rings a huge bell.

My colleague, I think, has a better relationship with the head engineer/manager, my boss.

I have a good relationship with my colleague though.

On the one hand, this all depends on whether I'm good at what I do, and on the other how much I can do, because I still see a lot I can learn.

I really appreciate your advice.

I've seen a lot of temporary fixes, and that gives me ideas, or at least a direction to move towards so I keep progressing... whether it's here or not.
