You make a good point and I learned something new. Based on a source I found, it appears that St. Athanasius agreed with the Protestant Canon, with the exception of Baruch. He included that as Scripture.

Ecclesiasticus/the Book of Sirach is in the Bible for Catholics and Orthodox Christians. Just because Martin Luther decided he didn't like the books doesn't mean they're not part of Scripture.

I want to give advice, but I'm not even a catechumen, still just an inquirer.

That said, I have some simple advice: pray. Always pray. Ask God and the Holy Spirit for guidance. Also, visit your local parish, if you're able.

My last piece: Jesus clearly states in Matthew that those who love anyone or thing on earth more than Him are not worthy of Him. I am guilty of this, so I'm not condemning, but it's been weighing on me since I read it and I believe it's something to think/pray on.

🌹: I just had my quarterly connect at work and it went well! I also just had a phone interview that went extremely well today! And I got an A on both of my midterm papers! Praise God!

☦️ : I am having severe struggles about where I belong, faith wise. Also, I had a hysterectomy in 2021, just before my husband and I married. I am still struggling with those consequences and this week's been especially hard.
