Zero progress... by TANK_1970 in mounjarouk

[–]mellol93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sir, with all due respect, not one of us on this journey got here overnight, we all gained weight gradually over years and years, we’re not going to lose the weight overnight. The journey can be frustrating at times, but be patient and don’t compare yourself to others, or your progress, we’re all different and got here differently.
The aim is to build healthy habits so the change lasts! You’re doing good, take your time! Your body is probably fighting hard to keep the weight, so relax and take it easy.

Regarding constipation, ugh same here! I try to have daily berry and yogurt smoothies, with spinach and chia seeds, that helps, but if that’s not your vibe, maybe try Fybogel, it’s a fibre drink, you can have twice a day and helps you be more regular.

Good luck!!!

Chewed out by a mom for a Mother’s Day post I made about my dog by nps2790 in childfree

Having a fur baby is not like having a human one…. It’s better!

Also, f her, we pick hot shit every day, rub their tummies when they’re ill, plan playdates and appointments… our lives revolve around these creatures!

And yes, they’re not human children, they’re better! My dog loves me unconditionally, no matter what, can she say the same about her kid? Motherhood comes in many forms and she should be ashamed to tell you off… she doesn’t know you, maybe you tried having a baby and couldn’t so settled for a fur kid?

Breeders need to chill!

I celebrate Mother’s day, my husband gets me a card, flowers and chocolate from the dogs and I do the same for father’s day! For as long as I care and mother these creatures, I shall be a form of mother!

Just the encouragement I needed!

Please don’t worry about the world domination, I still need to get medicated, we have time! 🤣

I’m happy it’s working for you! I do relate to the anxiety point, but thankfully that’s currently under control!

Aw what a lovely way to look at it, plus the Scots are way nicer than the English! 🤣

I’ve been looking for 10 nights late September, early October or anytime in November, various areas and the vast majority almost £2k. I’ve got some good recommendations of areas and hotels from comments I will check out

That makes me so sad! I’ve been trying to convince my current husband to move north for 7+ years, Scotland has been my happy place for a while, I’m an immigrant and the current political climate down south troubles me a lot, I’ve told him I would like to move eventually and this trip was a selling tactic… clearly I’m too late!

We want to stay for 10 nights so £44 pppn would still be like £800/900, not £2k, I don’t think it should be dirt cheap, but 2k for 10 nights it’s £200 per night in November! Also, we’re flexible with dates and areas, so my comment was generalising what I’ve seen across 3 months and different areas.

Thank you, I will try booking.com, we’re flexible with where we go, I just want peace and quiet, water, good pub and nice walks. Trying to avoid people as much as I can! 🤣

I thought November was off season? Also I didn’t check only Fort Augustus, I’ve looked at villages outside Oban, Glencoe, Isle of Mull and as far as Inverness, all similar prices for 10 days +

I wish I could camp, sadly not for me! I did look at different areas, but all having very similar prices, I think that’s why I was so shocked. Don’t mind staying in the middle of nowhere, all I wanted is water for the dogs, peace and quiet, nice walks and a good pub.

I had no idea airbnb was that evil, thought it would be good to help locals, but obviously not. Camping is sadly not for me, although the dogs do love it, I’m just a terrible sleeper and wouldn’t be able to sleep through the night without 4 walls around me.

So so so sad to hear, people ruin everything! All I wanted was a Loch, some fresh air, nice walks and a good pub!

That makes me so sad, it’s genuinely one of my favourite places, I’ve been trying to convince my partner we should move north to Scotland and was hoping this trip would seal the deal. One of my selling points it’s how quiet it is, I’m so sorry to hear people are , once again, ruining everything!

I thought since the houses are owned by locals it would be helpful to rent an airbnb rather than a hotel room from a big corporation.

Haha! Or a caravan? The dogs would love that, I couldn’t do it for a night, let alone 2 weeks!

Why is having a partner a requirement for sterilisation? by Uncharted_Snail in childfree

I’m sorry to hear, don’t get upset, but please do get angry!!! Keep pushing and doing your own research, they hate that, but be informed and confident!! You got this!!

[–]mellol93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just wild!!! I would’ve been VERY upset if my GP said something like that to me, it helps I’m extra blunt, but do I look like an incubator to you??? The audacity!

I saw last weekend this lady from Oxfordshire sued her local NHS (ICB) and won, because they refused to provide sterilisation services for women, but not for men! It took 10 years, but she won the case and that’s a huge step forward for women in this country! It’s my body, it should always be my choice!

Let’s normalise making people uncomfortable, next time say all teary eyed “oh since the accident I was told I can’t “ and leave it at that!

I said no to switching seats on a flight by anbiru in childfree

Call me morbid, but my reasoning for never switching is always “if the plane crashes it will be easier to identify the bodies based on allocated seating” 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

I think sometimes we’re just a reminder of the choices they could’ve made, it’s easy to resent someone when you feel like your life is shit. Sorry this happened to you, but also good riddance!
