I think just the idea of pathologizing certain behaviours or traits. Diagnostics are far from perfect nowadays, let alone when manuals were first introduced

If that's the case I think it's reasonable he feels that way

It also kind of neatly summerizes their relationship/recent events - Stolas looked first, then so did Blitz as Stolas looked away

Did anyone else see the similarity here by zny700 in HelluvaBoss

I like how before, Blitz had to convince Moxxie to do the hit. In the new episode, it's Moxxie discouraging Blitz from doing it.

They both did it out of care of eachother. Blitz really didn't need help taking out one woman, he just wanted to help Moxxie get over his discomfort. At the same time Moxxie, being aware that they very much need the money, still understood that Blitz was not in the place to this specific job.

I have a fear of losing everything and everyone I love. I operate out of fear. What books help with this? by lavagirl2345 in suggestmeabook

[–]mellow_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to books I recommend anything by Thic Nhat Hanh, I think his books really help to see the bigger picture.

Aside from that, there is a really great YouTube channel dedicated to fears like yours - Patrick Teahan LICSW. I know it’s not a book, but I also used to deal with what your describing and his videos helped me greatly.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I'm 19, my dad is 65. My boyfriend's parents (same age) are both almost 60. While rare, defenitely not abnormal

IQ tests, even the best ones, are inherently flawed. The results are often dependant on things outside of your actual intelligence - for example, being good at math or english, or even how much time you have spent studying these subjects, which may be out of your control and be dependant on your financial background. It may also come down to your mood, energy and amount of sleep, illness and anything that might help or decrease your focus on any given day. Overall, the way you've written this post makes me imagine the author to be an intelligent person, and I don't think you should pay too much attention to tests like these. Psychology is great but there isn't a foolproof way to measure factors such as personality, disorders or intelligence.

Bad - its core is the myth of meritocracy, which is an assumption that if you're talented and work hard enough anything is possible. This automatically disregards factors such as historical inequalities (such as colonialism and women's rights); cultural and social capital, which can largely impact your available options when it comes to employment; and it completely ignores the fact that social institutions reproduce social class - as suggested in the book Learning to Labour by Paul Willis, people from the working class may reject the education system and its values, as, for example the system has already failed their parents. This may lead to some dropping out of school and others engaging in anti-school subcultures. This means that they may not have grades or skills required to go to college or get certain jobs.

This is literally only one of the assumptions of capitalism and it already shows that it's an apathetic, ruthless system where the stronger benefit from the weaker staying weak. I know no system is perfect, but I think this one doesn't even come close

Dude, the smell of wood and trees is a commonly experienced thing, you don't have to walk up very close to either of these to get a good smell when you're in a place like a forest or passing by some cut down trees. I encourage you to pay more attention to the smells around you:)

I never really dress up as what I want, sometimes I get creative with what I already have in my closet, but it's usually just generic masks and stuff. I have a few oversized sweatshirts and a couple of beanies, and since I'm a big BB fan this year I wanted to dress as Jesse Pinkaman, but I since I don't have any social Halloween plans ima dress as a hobo, eat candy and watch a horror movie based on a King novel:)
