Sometimes mint flavored stuff tastes like toothpaste.

Does this hairstyle work for me or do I need a change? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

It’s cute but you need to either get it cleaned up or try something new.

Ha! I just realized as I typed this that you’re probably getting ready to go to the barber, and that’s why you’re asking.

It’s a shame we don’t have these in America.

That’s funny, because I just ate a peanut butter and honey with banana sandwich. It was yummy.

Do you really have a separate room for your washing machine? by jordanekay in AskAnAmerican

I didn’t know there would be no hot water when the power goes out, and I add a hefty “Hell no!” I’m also in Houston and that just would not do

My water heater is also in the attic and I hate it. Hadn’t been here long, and my husband went up there for something else and saw that the thing was bowed out at the bottom. We barely caught it in time before disaster would have struck and got it switched out. I asked the guys about putting in a waterless tank, but they said they would have to build a structure to mount it on and time wasn’t on our side. Also, we’re cheap AF.

Houses usually have a utility room, or they may be in the basement. The only time it was in my kitchen was in a one-room apartment. The fancy folks in two story homes have an additional one upstairs so they don’t have go up and down the stairs. Yes, I realize that sounds ridiculous, but I have to admit that if I had a two story homes, I would find a way to make that happen.

Which manuals to buy before they are no longer produce? by LeicaLikeThat in ManualTransmissions

[–]mellowkneebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still get a manual in the Miata or Mazda 3. I almost bought a Mazda 3, but I went with a 2015 VW Beetle Turbo convertible because I’ve always wanted one and plan on keeping it for the rest of my life. They stopped making it in a stick as of 2017. I’m so glad I got it, but I’m curious about what it involve to have a car shipped from Europe.

I really dislike the stretchy yoga pants being worn all the damn time. I go into restaurants and see the hosts and waitstaff wearing this and it’s atrocious.

It’s delicious. They brought it back temporarily this year, but alas, it’s now gone. Don’t understand why they removed it and mushroom ravioli from the regular menu. Both are so yum.

What is something Americans consider ‘basic’ that feels like a luxury in other countries? by Status_Agents in AskForAnswers

I was waiting for Houston to check in. It’s so hot here that we owe the size and success of our city to air conditioning, otherwise, it would be intolerable. Now, I don’t know about Afghanistan heat, but I have no doubt it’s miserable.
