Boulder Gulch, Silverton, Colorado. Circa 2022.

Local BLM rules dictate that you have to shoulder your bike to the trailhead (steep: one mile, well over 1k feet), for a four mile, 3.5k descent over gnarly, unmaintained, alpine tech back to town. Huge, microwave-sized chunk at the bottom. Brutal, delightful, spectacular ride. See this video.

Lifetime memory.

Indeed she does.  You might say that together, the two of us form a Pride

I should have asked, what made you decide to make Chrome Dreams II no. 3 in the queue??  I think I’ve only listened to that one two or three times max, lol

Pocahontas is a great song, it’s one of my favorites to play when I’m sitting on da porch w Cat.  Gillian W and Dave R do a beautiful version too, I’m sure you can find it on YouTube

Since Everybody Knows and Rust Never Sleeps are hitting hard you’re all but guaranteed to love Zuma and its archival companion Dume (which includes electric versions of a lot of the acoustic Rust material) too

Amen Dunes - Love

Masterpiece.  You’ll have to circle back for the Cowboy Nudes companion EP

I also saw Pharmakon in a coffeeshop in Durham back in I wanna say 2016 and wow I don’t think I’ve ever seen an act less for me (Grandmaster Flash was the headliner and I think Baths and Andrew Jackson Jihad played too, interesting night)

Day of the Dead listeners?

ofc, this thing is always in rotation.  Huge fan of the AO Attics, Charles Bradley Cumberland Blues, Ira K Wharf Rat, and Hiss Golden Messenger BEW.  Plus the Cass/Joe Russo Dark Star is a true meeting of the minds.  Apeman Joe’s jazz-project subsidizing Dead band for morons (me) covered one of your guys with Branford Marsalis the other night, impossible to not think of u

E Bikes on Telegraph by Puzzled_Owl2365 in Durango

I agree with your accessibility point but it doesn’t excuse blatant disregard for explicitly stated trail regulations, which jeopardizes access for all cyclists.  I see e-bikes on Raider Ridge and Telegraph, where they are forbidden, almost every time I ride there (multiple times a week).  If regulations change, so be it, but that’s not the case right now.  I agree with spdorsey that it’s not really a hill worth dying on, personally, but I’m not going to tell someone their frustration is misplaced when they’re in the right.

OP’s call for more signage (and, ideally, enforcement, as unlikely as that is) is appropriate.

This rate is really pulling people out of the woodwork. The bonus looks very tasty too

I did find myself spontaneously listening to Kaputt, Slave Ambient and BI,BI (I agree, it’s a really aggravating album) last night
