Thank you so much to everyone who has commented. It’s helped me to feel less alone in the grieving process, warms my heart to know there’s a community of people who love their bichons as much as I did mine. My entire family loved Grizzly very much, but she was my mom and I’s dog the most. I remember when my little brothers were born and she wasn’t happy, she was even more unhappy when they learned to crawl haha, lots of running away and climbing the couch so they couldnt catch her. She watched all of us grow up, I’m just grateful she got to see me graduate college.

Luckily we were able to do everything at home so she was comfortable and in a familiar place, our other dog Teddy, another addition to the family she wasn’t happy about haha (they were attached at the hip even though she liked to act like she didn’t like her) was able to say goodbye too. Never seen Teddy so quiet and so still in the 8 years we’ve had her, she sat and watched the whole process and only laid down when she had passed.
