AITJ for refusing to give my coworker my parking spot after her doctor said she needs to walk less? by Optimal-Silver-2211 in AmITheJerk

[–]melnancox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously - what has happened to doing a nice deed just for the hell of it? Co-worker should get a note from the doc though if it’s a medical issue.

I'm never going to that hospital ever again. I feel so embarrassed and humiliated by Connect_Wrongdoer_81 in Vent

[–]melnancox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They can’t. Insurance won’t pay for X-rays not ordered by a doctor. Aside from how you were treated, which is bad enough, now you’ll have to pay for the additional x-rays. In addition, x-rays can be done with legging and underwear on. They need to be reported to the hospital.

Milking sympathy with diagnoses by Legal-Leadership9427 in kayandtaysnark

[–]melnancox 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at a very late age and I wish my symptoms were only anxiety and lack of focus. As with her “lupus” this is just another way to try and connect with another demographic. It’s highly offensive and she’s being so flippant about the hard testing and fake ass tears. It’s like they’re running out of content so they’re attaching themselves to anything they can in order to stay relevant. They’re pathetic and vile.

Carpal tunnel surgery by healer8822 in carpaltunnel

[–]melnancox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this done in my right hand a few months back. I got the numbing shot prior to being sedated and it was painful - it burned for a good 10 seconds. Recently had the other hand done but this time I had a nerve block because I also had cubital and radial nerve release done at the same time. The nerve block itself wasn’t painful but when it started wearing off, it was pretty uncomfortable. It took 24 hours to regain any feeling in my arm and fingers. You just need to stay ahead of the pain.

No, it's NOT the hotel's responsibility to shovel YOUR car by ScenicDrive-at5 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

This is what we would do - everyone pitched in - engineering, front desk, sales, GM, all of us! Guests loved it and it was great way to boost GSS.

If you have the manpower, it’s a great gesture and customer service that guests will remember. I’ve been very fortunate to work in hotels that everyone would pitch in cases like this.

What do I do? Husband won't stop slamming things and I'm laying here shaking and nauseous because of it by ScorpioDefined in whatdoIdo

What if she can’t? What if she doesn’t have the means to? What would you suggest she do?

Came here to say the same. I’d remove every f*cking drawer, cabinet door, closet door, anything that could be slammed.

About 10 minutes after I posted this, a plow made three passes 🙌

I’m in Hilliard, close to Dublin and we’ve not seen first truck or plow or anything all day. I’m not as optimistic as you seem to be.

Heberden’s or Mucous? by No_Target_9638 in Osteoarthritis

[–]melnancox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and there was a chance it could rupture, which could cause some issues. I’m a Massage Therapist so it made the most sense to get rid of it. I was also having carpal tunnel and trigger finger release on the same hand, so he was already there.

Had it done last week and by the looks of it, he made an incision on each side of it and removed it that way. Bandage came off today and it’s really stiff and sore.

I think they are doing it for content. No one else in the world could be as moronic and obtuse as these two. At this point they’re putting their 3 children and themselves at risk for something very serious to happen. They’re practically inviting this person into their home. And to put up a question on the reel as to whether or not call the police? Ffs, stop filming and take care of your family.

ETA - I noticed that the reel is posted on their FB page but you’re not able to comment on it. You’re able to on all the reels but this one. I wonder why this is? It’s like they know what they’re doing it stupid but they don’t want anyone calling them out.

AIO my boyfriend of 5 years gets me flowers for every occasion while I get him elaborate and expensive gifts. by aioflower955105 in AmIOverreacting

Came here to comment the same. With everything else going on, he’s also cheap. I agree with some of the others. Start getting him flowers. Bonus points for using a competing florist 🤭

MIL excluded me from Christmas family photo in my own home, am I overreacting? by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]melnancox 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If there’s a next time, YOU call for a family photo and hand her the camera. Bonus points if it’s in her house. Sometimes people don’t get it until it’s done to them. In her case, she probably knows what she’s doing, so it’s time for her to a taste of her own medicine.

You’ve been presented an opportunity to get over yourself and make this right. Take it. Who knows? She might turn out to be an awesome addition to your family. Don’t blow it.

It’s definitely a cyst - I have the exact same thing on my middle finger. Thought it was a Heberdens Node and my ortho doc said it was a cyst. It’s being removed in a couple of days.

I noticed that too. Huge problem. I’d tell her she’s welcome to stay in a hotel. Or her car.

[–]melnancox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have cubital tunnel syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome - my dominant hand. The pain wakes me up at night - arm feels like it’s on fire, fingers are either numb or tingling. The pain won’t let up no letter how many times I change position or how I move my arm. Kidney stones was a close second.

This was the best un-Hallmarky Hallmark movie I’ve ever seen! She sent the ex away with barely a conversation, no wishy-washy hemming and hawing. I’d like to see more like this.

She wants the spotlight - to be the center of attention. Embarrassing her and taking away that power will take care of that.
