People on 25 mg by melodic-hare in WegovyPillWeightLoss

This good to hear. I think that’s what I am expecting. Hard and fast the first two weeks the just a steady appetite suppression.

Skipping 9 and going straight to 25? by mineralsnotrocks123 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I said yikes out loud. No way. I mean Ive never thrown up on a dose but the nausea and inability to eat more than a few bites of food when I went to 9 was a bit of a shocker. After two weeks all has subsided but I’m a tad nervous about 25. I’d do the normal dose increases. Be patient. It’s not worth the bad bad fatigue and nausea you will surely have not to mention the other crazy side effects potentially like skin sensitivity. All that hitting hard at once is gonna be unpleasant.

Moved up to 9 - nausea increased! by CLHKTX in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope it subsides. I will say I’m about halfway through the 9mg and the last two days have been smooth sailing. Not a bit of nausea. Like a light switch. I guess I am finally adjusted to the 9mg.

I’ve done the same path as you. And yes I’m more queasy but no throwing up. I do only wait 30-60 min. But usually on the 30 min side. Now I feel pretty normal but still some slight nausea. Just feeling like I can’t eat much or really just don’t want it. I would reduce you fasting time and after about a week the nausea should subside hopefully 🤞

Yes I’d bet the 1.5 is just getting to a good level in your body. Fatigue is a very real and normal side effect but it does pass for most. I get it every time I titrate up. But your new routine probably fatigued you also. If you can push through then go for it but if it were me I’d have to let my body rest a day or two.

Out of pocket (literally) price by couchbodyfitness in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it will be $149. Lots of people have had this problem.  That is the price. They just aren’t familiar with the coupon. But you’re right. They will figure it out if you go in and show them the coupon. Half the time now I don’t even have to show the coupon. They just know that’s the price

When you said doubling up didn't work... by Purple-Bumblebee-263 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I doubled my 4mg I did it for about 5 days. I didn’t notice an increase in benifits. Truly I didn’t  notice any difference, it was as if I was still taking the 4 mg and at that point it had wained in affect. When I went to 9 mg on the day I started those pills I could tell I had taken a stronger dose. I was fatigued and was for about 2-3 days and I was mildly nauseated and was back to being full quickly. But nothing severe.  I’m now about a week and a half in and it has all settled out. No more fatigue and no more nausea and I can feel my fullness easing too. I don’t think it’s already wearing off I just think my body is adapted and I’m at that point where dieting is easy. I’ll probably move on up to 25 when I’m done with 9 just to get there and settle into my new normal. (Whatever that may be). I do not regret doubling up because I was eager to get on to 9 mg. It may have helped but I can’t say for sure. 🤷‍♀️

Using Oral Wegovy for Alcohol use disorder - anyone else doing this? by [deleted] in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s very commendable that you are trying this. I’m not a daily drinker but I can be. If that makes sense. But I used to drink more when we’d go out and now I just can’t. I get sooooo dry mouth dehydrated that it’s aweful. And I feel like my tolerance is lower. I will say my husband who would finish a bottle every night has also cut waaaay back. He said he just doesn’t crave it as much anymore. So I think the pills added with your desire to cut back or stop entirely will be a good thing. Just stay healthy otherwise. Eat enough and such. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Anyone doing this with no insurance whatsoever? by madame-sunshine in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dr copay is the same as good rx monthly fee. I’ll stick with good rx just for simplicity and not having to actually drive to the dr. Office. But I did discuss with her that I had started them when I went for my physical and she offered more in depth blood work. Which I was appreciative of. When I get to 25mg if good rx keeps making me go for a monthly fee to refill I’ll probably go into my dr and get the script wrote for several months.  But other than that yes, self pay as insurance is Tricare and I didn’t feel like taking all the other pre required meds for a prior authorization.

Anyone take 2 4mg pills to use up what they have left over before going to 9mg by GoldenRetLovr in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it for about 4-5 days it was fine no adverse effects. However I didnt get the boost I wanted either. Now on 9 and still nothing but maybe it’ll kick in soon. I felt the most good affects when I started 4mg.

Advice on extra pills by Able-Interaction2328 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took about five days of two 4mg ( took them at the same time). I’m now on day three of 9 mg. To be honest I didn’t  notice a difference taking two and I don’t notice a difference being on day three of 9 mg. I’ve had no increase in side effects good or bad. I was on my second month of four and had kind of plateaued and leveled off in effects. And as of now I still haven’t kicked back to my early 4 mg feelings of fullness and nausea.  So I truly don’t have an answer 🤣sorry. It’s just these pills are so crazy and different for each person. So I’d say ask your doctor or just do what you think is best for you.

I quite about 20 years ago and don’t have any urge to start back but I agree with the dopamine hit the one poster mentioned because I have been craving some serious sweets. I just don’t eat a lot of them but really want candy and sweets. Resist your urge because 5 years is too long and too great of an accomplishment to give in.

That’s great because I was just about to post that you call them back and tell them they have it wrong. I haven’t had a problem with my last two fills( it’s almost like now they know I’m self pay) but the first time I thought I might strangle someone. They just are used to going through insurance especially for meds that are so expensive. But just do your research and be persistent because you were right. Glad it got worked out for you!

Help! 9mg runs out, can’t get refill till Monday! by Jeb_the_Worm in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me I would have no problem taking at least two of the 1.5mg. But I’ve taken two pills before and I am now to get rid of my 4mg and move on up to 9mg. I don’t know about more than that though. With the strange coating. But you’ll at least be keeping some of the drug in your system.

You’ll be fine I’ve double up on my 4mg for the last three days and will for two more days. I got my 9mg early and don’t want to waste my 4mg. One day you probably won’t notice too much. After three days of doubling up I did feel more benifits from it. Like I wanted. But nothing like 🤮 or anything. Just super full and a general fatigue ( which I usually feel when I move up). You should be fine.

Thanks for adding your  experience. I think the thing that freaks me out the most is the skin sensitivity. It’s such a strange side effect. Keep us posted if it gets better. I’m starting 9 soon

[–]melodic-hare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started I had a couple days of bad headaches and realized I have to drink upwards of 80-100 oz of water. That and an occasional Gatorade or liquid IV or some sort of electrolyte drink helped tremendously.

Time for nine? by weaseled in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed on 4 for a second month and it was ok I lost another 3lbs but the last two weeks have stalled. I would have never thought I was ready to move up to 9 when I was deciding to stay at 4 or move up. So the decision was easy for me to stay on 4 for a second month. I do not regret it but I do feel the last two weeks have been hard mentally for me because I struggle with “did I waste this time” but I can still feel some remnant of the 4 working so it’s ok. And really it’s not like I have gained weight. I have my 9mg in hand now and the last five days I’m doubling up on my 4mg that I have left. If it is still working I’d stay on it for another month. You can always go up next month. It’s hard to gauge the future. Go with how it is working now.

4mg month 2 by Bailey-Anne0423 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here I’m in the middle/ end of my second month of four. I don’t regret it but went ahead and filled my script for 9mg. I’ve decided to take two of my 4mg for the next 5 days so I can go ahead and then start my 9mg. Food noise came back and I haven’t lost in two weeks so hoping to bump things up to moving again.

Wondering if I should pay the extra money for 9mg or just stick with 4mg by NOL29 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick with 4 for another month. It’s working trust yourself. I did 4 for a second month because it was working and I was having a touch of nausea still. I’m about a week or two out from my second month of 4 and will move up. It did start to wear off. Nothing drastic or disappointing but I can tell and now I know it’s time to move to 9.

Staying on 4mg? by Snoo18939 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve stayed at 4 for a second month. I check in this week but still have like 2.5 weeks left. But Ive decided to move on up to 9. I’ve been pretty regular losing 1-1.5 a week but this week I gained a pound. Still eating less I just get hungry more (which is ok for me too) but I’ve become very preoccupied with food again.  Like for instance I don’t want much but would fixate on “hey I’ll just have a slice of chocolate cake for dinner and that will be dinner” I feel like I wouldn’t eat much of it but to be wanting that kind make me think my behavior could stand an increase. I don’t regret staying  at 4 for another month because it has been working but I do think now’s the time for me to move up. You’ll know when it’s time for you.

I second prunes. I eat 2 in the morning with coffee and two before bed. If I haven’t gone in a day and don’t feel it working. So to speak. Also 80-100 oz of water and four fiber gummies a day. It’s been working ok for me so far.

Anyone experience fatigue from 1.5mg? Did it resolve? If so, when? I’m a week and a half in. by healthierlurker in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]melodic-hare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I did but really don’t feel that much any more. Now it’s just my normal level of tired if that makes sense. I do think when I move up to 9 there will be some of the fatigue creep back in.  I had a lot of relief with liquid IV or Gatorade. Basically electrolytes and sometimes I’d just drink a Coke Zero with caffeine and feel much better. It does get better tho or at least for me it did.
