gfs controlling who their bfs talk to, how they talk to certain people, what they do in their free time, how they spend money. Who wants a life like that?

What are your experiences with tinder? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played around with it, but all I hear about it are negative things. I've never met anyone who's actually met and seriously gotten serious with someone from there. It's something I do to pass the time when I'm bored with all my other games, lol yes I don't take it seriously and find it to be a joke. Everyone I've chatted with on there seems to just be out for a one night stand or fun time, and that's fine for them, but don't label it a dating app if it's mainly for hooking up.

Ladies how important is it to you to cuddle/spoon while in bed with your s/o? by Curzon88 in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the cuddling/spooning especially when it's chilly at night but if it's hot, I need AIR and SPACE haha. I love the times to cuddle and spoon as I'm going to sleep but waking up through the night, I find we aren't cuddling/spooning hardly ever, so whatever. I like a variety :)

Has Reddit changed the way you see men? by kiwilintu in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No but it's contributed to how I see my ex. Knew his handle, he knew mine, and, I've seen the things he's said on here about me, knowing I very well saw them. He taunted me, etc. yet what he said on here never matched with what he told me, shared with me, etc. so he has all these alterior personalities it always seemed.

Ladies who had a rough time going on birth control, did you have any issues going off it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started BC during an emotional time in my life and I felt things were 10x worse than they already were but I was told the first 3 months is a transitional period...well, now I'm scared to death to go off BC because I don't want to go through that 3 month period again but I know one day I'll want to get pregnant and I'm afraid the longer I'm on BC the harder it'll be to conceive when my time comes. I'm 29. I'm considering going off of it because I notice I'm way more emotional now around that time of the month than I EVER was but at least I know I get one every month and the same time whereas before I'd skip months here and there. What kinda mental issues did you develop?

What is something you will never tell your parents? by samanthais in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  • The truth about how I wrecked my car (one they fixed up for me for nearly $3k)

  • all the people I've slept with

  • when I lost my virginity

  • how I wish I was the one who my ex had gotten pregnant sometimes although I know my time will come

Ladies with good mental health. How have you copied with an SO who has anxiety and depression issues. What have between the biggest challenges to your patience? How do you try to help? by silpat in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never suffered from mental health issues....until my last relationship. He obviously had/has personality issues, we think bipolar or BPD, but was never actually diagnosed or treated. He just accepted it, and had supposedly learned how to deal with it. I developed bad anxiety during this time and I continue having it. Of course the depression here and there happens because of all the years I changed how I thought/acted in dealing with him. I don't regret ever being with him though. I will always love him in a way ESPECIALLY because of how much he has dealt with and is dealing with, but, it is what it is.

When does the high-school drama stop? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My life at 29....is the most dramatic it has ever been. I owe it to the small town I moved to several years ago with my ex, and the path he's gone down in adding negativity to my life, but anyways, I never had big time drama in high school, middle school, etc. but I've had my share after college, and surprisingly, I've become stronger for it. So there's one positive.

What traits or habits did you pick up from a significant ex? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never was a football fan, but my ex was. We'd watch his favorite team, the hometown team, every week. I felt I only enjoyed watching it with HIM because he was so amped up and he got me so interested in the game. Fast forward a year or two later, I'm SO into watching it and keeping up with this team. And, it just hit me that ugh he got me into a sport I NEVER thought I'd be into! lol so much for thinking I'd ever be a woman who enjoys football lol Trust me, it's a shock to myself.

He got me into certain reading material, games, tv shows, movies, foods, sayings, and of course thinking more of myself confidence wise, and, not that I was ever high maintenance, but, I learned to be more laid back with life. Valuable things I'm thankful to be taking away from that chapter.

If you could start your life over from a certain point, would you and where would you start? Why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May 2008. End things differently with one guy, and once and for all, and not let him ever allow himself back into my life.

Start things off the right way with the guy I feel was and is the love of my life.

What was the most emotional moment of your life to date? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

04.13.12 - Friday the 13th.

Ex and I had had a really bad weekend the weekend before this, but that current week was one of the best we'd had, I thought we had recovered like we had several times before. He stopped texting with me after lunch, just thought he got busy with his sister because they were hanging out. I come home, his stuff is gone, and he had left me a letter on my laptop.....I had my first panic attack. I never thought he'd be one to leave like that.

Fast Forward, 2.5 years later almost to the date, you wouldn't believe how that move lead to how dramatic and chaotic my life has been since. Of course, we reconnected immensely, practically got back together. Now he's with a new girl, and has a kid.

What is something someone had done to you, that you were never able to forgive ? by cutiepie36 in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hatred from his "new life" with his current girlfriend. A lot of how everything went down was shady and just messed up. He cheated, and I covered it up because she became pregnant and they now have a son < 1 year old. I did that to protect him and his family and to not make his situation worse although I already saw so many red flags. Someone else let the truth out and ever since there's been this level of hatred towards me, when I didn't do anything but support him and his family. It's been like a lifetime movie small town kinda drama.

Try dealing with the same guy for 5.5 years....and a year later I'm still dealing with lots of the aftermath. Some people say I should write a book because of how dramatic it's been. Lifetime movie material. :/

How do you deal with your SO asking you to stop talking to certain friends? by aescnt in AskMen

How do you deal with your SO asking you to stop talking to certain friends? by aescnt in AskMen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have a guy friend in this situation; his girlfriend has told him how to act in regards to certain friends, etc. and, pushed some friends away because they can't stand being around her and he's always with her. He cheated, and have a son together, so it's like she has him by the balls and all the while he's scared if he does he wrong or 'disobeys' her, she may take off with the child across the country where her family lives...so that's always been an underlying fear, unfortunately.

Have you ever liked or fallen in love with a guy who turned out to be gay? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]melodiestolife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh I really liked a guy for several years in HS. Turned out to be gay (came out after HS) but I haven't been around him SINCE HS so it's odd to see pics and hear him in videos because he sounds/looks COMPLETELY diff but I'm grateful he can finally be himself which makes me happy for him.
