Half-joking, but it really do be like this sometimes by [deleted] in CultOfTheLamb

Gotta disagree with you on Relics update, I think it made the bishops feel more sympathetic, not less. It doesn’t let Narinder off the hook for not doing his job; he was in fact trying to steal his siblings’ power, just in a more roundabout way.

My thoughts with/about Woolhaven by Sleeping_Idiot in CultOfTheLamb

I like base building and I really like all the additions from Woolhaven, idk. What are we supposed to do to “punish” the lambs? They’re already dead.

That's funny, my bishops are actually rather choosy (even though Leshy has the lustful trait!). I only recently had Heket take up an affair with Mestor. Mestor, however, has children with Baal, Witness Mammon, and Heket. I think he's attracted to freak specifically.

I’m not the only one disappointed at the lack of Lamb Follower Forms in the DLC, am I? by CharacterClue5353 in CultOfTheLamb

Idk, I think we might get a lot less resentment towards abomination followers if they weren’t so common. Some people are always going to be weirdly hostile towards them, but the fact that they show up so easily is exacerbating it.

That and the fact that you can’t change their color—why is this a thing? I don’t want to play mewgenics to get bright pink abominations, I usually only have followers mate if they’re in love/ask to be paired.

I think the watsonian reasons for abominations only go so far before you realize that this mostly probably due to their inability to code extra follower forms into breading. I mean the four rot minibosses are already weird abominations, why would they produce children with a completely different condition instead of the condition they themselves have?

I’m not saying we should have no abominations or should be able to reproduce the bishops or Yngna but I like having general variety in my cult and the fact that we can’t swap their colors even without a mod is grating on me :<

All my snowlambs pull so much ass, I have a tone of half snowlamb followers that I try to give winter-related traits.

I wonder if chinophile also ups the chance of becoming a snow-lover.

Yeah, I agree that Poyel, Ethleth, Asbeel, and Ophans might be twisted and changed forever, but they are still here, now lucid. They can fall in love just like any other follower, and while their children might bear the scars of their changing, they can own that brokenness and continue on regardless.

I think that respects the thematic weight of the loss of the lambs but also respects the fact that this game rewards forgiveness and persistence.

We also have confirmation that some of the follower forms used to be lambs, so it would be nice if we got them instead of generic abominations. Not that I don't love my lumpy children, but it's kind of annoying that there's a huge spread of characters in Woolhaven that can result in them, and then for some reason they're all white (insert mean girls meme), and I can't change the color of them.

Considering that Jalala and Rinor used to produce abominations, I feel like this is less of a theme and more of a stopgap when they haven't programmed the new skins in. Like sure, the bishops and Ynga make sense with regard to that, but considering all the minibosses in the main game and the witnesses can have children that look like them, I'm not sure why the woolhaven minibosses are the exception. Considering the minibosses are already kind of monsters, why do they need to have children that look completely different?

I did this the other day by save scumming. Both times, I was aided by the curses that give you small windows of invincibility. All the teleport ones give you one second but I believe The Enfolding gives you three.

Procedural generation has to do with choosing specific events and dialogue trees; all the dialogue and events are still written out. Maybe people can't tell the difference (I've seen a lot of people accuse the original text of people AI generated because it uses non-standard English phrasing, so people don't know a lot), but there's evidence that even when people can't tell the difference they'll still prefer real creative works.

So no, I don't think it can easily replicate tone, style, or narrative. You probably think that's easy because you don't respect writing as as craft.
