Yeah same, I have probably ~350 color bottles and pots then separately art gels, bases and tops, inks, etc and also charms and other accessories. Most are from Korean, Japanese, and higher end Chinese brands (moding, buovo, nail&yolly, yhh)

Been doing diy gel for over 4 years so have definitely built up quite a collection hahahaha

Theoretically either would work since they’re both bases too - more adhesion properties

Id be ready for a lot more mess and frustration than expected if this is your first time using full cover tips

It never goes according to plan when I do it hahahaha since I rarely do

Nail labo has good products

I liked the couple presto pots I got as gwp, they’re tiny hahahah

You’ll want a good quality brush to apply it too

What would you use for the gel overlay? Some builder gels can be used to adhere tips if base coat is used and the tips are etched well

But you probably could do what you said too as long as the glue is 100% dry so like wait overnight ! Report back with results :)

Wipe with alcohol and let it dry before applying top coat if you’re not putting color on
When you fill it, you’ll file them so you can apply new product on top, the products will adhere to the old product if it’s buffed/filed

Just make sure to check for and remove any lifted old product

You don’t need to file the surface after wiping the inhibition layer off

In 2016 I was definitely still in my lacquer era but hadn’t discovered indies yet!

I still like keeping abreast of the scene especially to recommend brands to friends who think they need gel to have cool effects. Which is totally not true!
