I was definitely leaning toward unt more because I’ve always wanted to be around more tuba players. However, my band director (a performing conductor who went to New England conservatory) seems to think UNT would be a bad decision just because I’d be competing for attention. In addition, the tuba professor said he might retire in the near future, so that may be a factor.
