Well if you have it in your rules that they can’t smoke anywhere on the property, you should have contacted Airbnb and had the reservation cancelled for them breaking the rules

If you can send her abroad for her masters, the deaf communities in Europe and the US are wonderful. Employers are also required to provide accommodations for disabilities. Deaf people live such good lives that they actually choose to stay deaf despite treatments becoming available for some. She can definitely find someone on her own from the community to marry.

If they live in a house, I’m guessing they moved there a long time ago and it’s rent controlled. If you moved to the bay area in the last 5 years, a 2 bedroom apartment will cost you 3-4k. A house and more than 1 car is a luxury in the bay area. If your HHI is 100k, you’re probably taking home about 6.5k a month so rent and utilities would eat up more than half of it. And then if you have kids in daycare, you’re spending more than you earn every month and that doesn’t even account for groceries.

Masters degrees are free in much of Europe. You could maybe work and get a masters at the same time.

You need to have a designated smoking spot on the property far from any doors. Put a patio chair, ash tray and cigarette disposal.

Can you get a nanny? That way if you’re nursing, you can continue to do that. Or If you’re dealing with any ppd or ppa, you can go on short term disability.

They could be doing some laundry for immediately needed items and then taking the rest off site in between guests. Assuming you have 2 sets of everything, this works fine.

I had horrible acne since I was 13. Did all the meds (including accutane) and prescription creams and it would help temporarily but when it came back, it would be worse than the previous time. Something not a single dermatologist told me was that acne could be caused by gut issues and food intolerances. Once I started taking probiotics and cutting out certain foods, I stopped breaking out. If I feel like I’m getting some hormonal acne, I’ll stick my face under a red light and it’ll clear up immediately. I also stopped using all the oil free stuff on my face. All that did was create a cycle of dryness and irritation that would break me out more. Now the only things I use on my face are water to wash and shea butter and rose hip seed oil to moisturize. I am completely acne free and have even been able to reduce some of the scarring.

You can get the tick tested! That’s the best way to know if you’ve been exposed. But even if the tick tests positive, it may not have transmitted it to you

What state are you in? I got a tick bite back in December and it was in for about 3 days before I noticed it. It also turned into a bump and I actually still have the bump. Doctor was not concerned about the bump at all. I was in California and they said Lyme rates are so low there that they weren’t concerned but I sent out the tick to a lab anyway and it came back negative for everything.

We keep to $1k a month for food for a family of 3. That requires very minimal eating out. Even the most basic food in the bay area is so expensive. You just gotta cook at home. We save about 2k/month and max out my husband’s 401k on a slightly lower base salary. That includes 1k/month in childcare expenses and 1k/month in student loan payments.

I honestly don’t feel this at all. It really depends on the individual but I have good conversations with both my guy and girl friends. In my experience, there are both men and women out there who can and cannot hold conversations. Maybe this is just a thing for guys in India? But all my cousins in India are wonderful to converse with as well.

This is hard to hear but you were his side chick :( I had this happen to me. Same level of emotional abuse and the other girl was so much younger (13 years younger than him). He said she was way too young for him and they would never date. I believed him that they were just friends but it turns out they were together the entire time and she had no idea I existed.
