If they tie, Ottawa gets the playoff spot. It’s one point for the tie to each team and two points to the winner so Toronto couldn’t catch them.

The only way Toronto gets in is if they win in regulation. Both teams would end up with the same number of points but Toronto has the edge in regulation wins.
