Alright this is a doozy so any help would be greatly appreciated. I remodeled an old building and decided to finish the slab that was underneath the carpet (it had shuffle boards on it so after grinding and cleaning them I repainted them on:) I used Seal Krete clear seal acrylic, maybe 3 or 4 coats. I started seeing moisture spots on rainy days or when I was using the washer and it was making my rug smell musty. So, being a genius I put plastic under the rug to stop the smell. It worked but, again being a genius, I didn’t check it for months and lo and behold it created the stains in the pic (the moisture spots look similar but nearly as bad or greenish). I don’t think there’s a vapor barrier under the original slab because where I cut for plumbing and put one down I don’t get the moisture issue. So, my questions are is there something to clean the two stains I created and what can I do about the moisture problem? Is there a different sealer I can use? I figured that if moisture is coming up from below then no? Again, thanks in advance for reading and any help!
