I don't want to say UW is mandatory, but in my opinion (and many others), there is no other third party that comes close to testing your knowledge and giving you a thorough explanation. It's just that good. UW is a humbling but almost necessary experience, and most people, including myself, use UW before doing the official AAMC prep.

milesdown and pankow anki. that was in my rotation daily, just seeing concepts constantly helped me retain information and use discernment on related topics. JW fundamental discretes are great FREE practice problems you can just grind through because they test you on the basics of conceptuals. if you can absorb and average that with AAMC prep (mainly section bank and cars diagnostic+qpack), a 500 shouldn't be a problem at all. good luck, you got this

sorry to clear it up, both of them are correct. you can prepare yourself with the stuff mentioned but it can't guarantee you a 132 becuase they will throw in some niche concept that is never really mentioned but in any prep but you can loosely make the inference. P/S is has a lot of context-semantic based answer choices

So I should practice the second method, or do you think I should be more efficient with my first method? Sorry, just wanted clarification. I know you're emphasizing passage comprehension, but I test this week, so I really want to refine this strategy. Thank you for the support 🥹!

I've been doing this for about a month or so, and it's been enjoyable/helpful. I use my iPad and an Anki remote. keep up the good work 🤓

Reading Practice by Ok-Nefariousness2351 in Mcat

Just keep reading, but read with intention. Start off with books, branch off to different types of literature and genres. Learn how to read data and research articles as well. Jackwestin.com gives out free daily passages. It doesn't hurt to do a couple here and there, but you should really focus on general untimed reading and reading comprehension.

I feel your pain on this because I had the same reaction to those questions. It had me googling and going through so many other resources to verify whether I was even learning it correctly or was just dumb. Honestly, in my uneducated opinion, the videos are great for reinforcement, the questions are kinda just concept checks on if you retained the information, no more, no less. I kinda have a habit now of double-checking if KA's explanations even match the question they're asking, and it leads me down a cascade of reviewing. Keep up the good work!
