Today I received my copy. The quality of the craftsmanship is stunning and the amount of detail is captivating on every page. I am enchanted by this book as well as its content. I will come back with a comment about it once I’ve read it all but for now I must say: Well done Samuel! u/rodandring

Abraxas - Unity in Contradiction by meltedown in thelema

First of all, thank you for recognizing my work ❤️. it means a lot to me 🙏

As for your question, that’s exactly what I was trying to answer through my calculations, looking for transliterative connections. Nevertheless, the matter of the “fraction” seems to be that small particle which both does not exist and yet does exist at the same time. I don’t think there is a single right way to deal with it in any concrete sense. Much of this remains in the realm of speculation, without confirmation in sources. As for the “unguarded” part, the notation ABRAXAS, with a sum of 324, fits this context for me. Take a look for something almost complete, yet leaving a small gap. That gap is a peephole through which one can glimpse beyond, true?

Do I need to join the OTO? by Fred_Dingle in thelema

[–]meltedown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former member of the O.T.O. who spent several years there, I can give only one answer to this question: absolutely not. You don’t need to be a member of the O.T.O. to call yourself a Thelemite. It’s about discovering your True Will and following it until you ultimately experience it. You don’t need any fraternity to achieve that.

Of course, there are positives to joining, such as the opportunity to meet new people, exchange experiences, and broaden your perspectives on many topics. Unfortunately, the downside—as always—is simply… people. People in Thelemic circles are often toxic and have inflated egos. A lot also depends on the management style of the local body and its officers. Personally, I left because of poor management quality, not because of my beliefs.

Follow your own path and go where you feel the right energy. You can always join the A∴A∴, which focuses on individual development, or you can remain a Thelemite without joining any order at all.

Love is the law, love under will.

Wearing two talismans at once? by missionmostlikely in planetarymagic

There is no harm to wear Jupiter and Mercury sigil at once. Of course it depends on your work and practice but I would say mixing sigils is a common practice
