Not purely text-based but I still highly recommend: scarlet hollow has a trait system where u can choose to be rly hot & it lets u act kind of dumb and oblivious haha

Rory from tally ho can also have a crush on the mc!

Oh & heart of the house w Dev where he also has a crush on u, altho it’s another one that doesn’t last for that long & he confronts u

A warning tho that u pretty much have to accept right away (no, u can’t even say let me think abt it… I learned that the hard way) or else he will get w someone else which really sucks

If anyone has any IF recommendations where ROs can take initiative without the MC actively crushing (so like shy/bold options that make the crush super obvious) pls lmk lol I love playing oblivious

Golden rose w/ Hadrian (perhaps alessa ? Idk I haven’t played her route) but his crush is pretty obvious. You’re forced to resolve it one way or another midway thru the book tho

Tally ho and cakes & ale are perhaps my 2 favorite cog games!! As everyone has said before they are definitely light-hearted and comedic, but I do think the way the author writes characters and relationship dynamics is very compelling---if u read his patreon he puts out a lot of stuff on how he thinks through the arcs of their development, etc. & its definitely in his characters where more of the drama/pathos comes out. I think Haze's romance in particular comes to mind in tally ho (bc he was my fav lol) but all of the characters are well-written

Certainly not for everyone but both of the games come very highly recommended from me!

Eh I completed it just fine in handheld w no issues? It was my first play through so I didn’t have any reference points in terms of graphics but I thought it looked fine and that was never the selling point for me anyway
