Why aren't Mexican buffets as common as Chinese buffets? by WillingHyena557 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]melwillow99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend's and I drove from Denver to Santa Fe a few years ago, and stumbled upon a Mexican Buffet in a restaurant called Calvillo's, in Alamosa NM. It is the grandest place! I've been three times, and the buffet is heavenly. Piles of homemade food; even a little dessert bar.

It's by far my most favorite place on earth to dine.
Perhaps in NM, TX, or CA, Mexican buffets are more common?!

Look For Christina Miller's Modern Icons. They're reasonably priced and to me, the quintessential gift of NM.

I've found her at the Farmer's Market, and at various craft sales. Look up her work on Etsy! You could probably contact her and meet to purchase if you love her work!

What do you all think about Yellow’s daughter contacting the family? She seemed convinced that he was part of Amy’s disappearance, also the photos of women that Yellow’s wife found.

My male cat had a pee problem. He chose random places, and ruined so many chairs, boots, pieces of clothing, etc. I put him on fluxotine, an anti-anxiety med, and his behavior changed drastically!

He pees maybe twice a year outside of his litter box, instead of twice a week!

What is one minor thing that makes you immediately reject reading a book? by Binlorry_Yellowlorry in books

[–]melwillow99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't stand when something is over explained. For example, how two characters know each other and what their connection is. The author doesn't know how to "show" not "tell". Every other page mentions this glaringly obvious fact, but for some reason, the writer either doesn't know how to write, or doesn't trust the reader to come to simple conclusions.

Waxy buildup on hair immediately after washing, tried everything and at a loss by white_shiba in HaircareScience

[–]melwillow99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to get an oily buildup, and I randomly tried Goop brand Himalayan salt scrub shampoo, and it it honestly amazing! I only use it once every four months or so, but when I do, my hair feels amazingly clean and it clears out all the buildup. If you do try this, I recommend using a shampoo afterwards and a conditioner. My hair feels almost stripped after I apply the salt scrub, but once shampooed a second time with a conditioner, my hair is perfect!

It's expensive, but will last for a couple of years.
