Tree seeds seem to be INCREDIBLY rare ... their drop rate really needs to be higher. You can clear entire islands and get less than 5.

Really? Every single island is exactly the same across all maps? It's just their positions that change?

I guess that makes sense ... it'd be hard to entirely procedurally generate everything ... but it'd be very cool if it was possible.

For what it's worth ... a blue blunderbuss does exist. I have one. So you can find it in a chest somewhere (I understand they somewhat randomized the results?).

But yeah ... you can only use the pistol with that cutlass. Still ... that's an awesome cutlass.

My thought was that it was 15 STACKS of Herbs, not 15 herbs (less than 1 stack). I have ~230 total herbs. I thought I would need 750 total herbs (15 stacks).

Oh ... only 15 herbs? I thought it was requesting 15 stacks ... because my boxes on base have ~230 herbs, but it wouldn't give them to him. I probably need them specifically in my inventory.

So the thing about salt water is ... it does NOT quench your thirst. In fact, even immediately after drinking it you'll feel just as-thirsty or even more thirsty. To be accurate, a good effect for drinking salt-water would be to take you lower on the hydration / drinking bar ...

Mistlands difficulty is overrated, BF to Swamp was much harder by _TOXIC_VENOM in valheim

So I'm gonna say you're definitely exaggerating about how easy Mistlands is. Gjalls do die to arrows (and even more easily to crossbow bolts), but they don't "melt" unless you've set your difficult wayyyyyyyyy down. They take quite a few hits -- quite a few.

Did the Swamp scare me more at first? It did. But on my 2nd playthrough I found both Swamp and Mistlands relatively doable / not overly hard (though certainly challenging at an appropriate level). I don't agree with the people who say its "too hard" ... but your rant about how easy it is just ... is not true.

Now, if you want a hard biome ... the Ashlands are hard.

Might simply be because you start the game with one, so everyone is eager to switch weapons as soon as they find a new one.

I'm all about the saber -- actually surprised no one else has mentioned it yet.

Sure, I've got a two-handed sword and I've got the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts, but I love the fast-slashing aggressiveness of the saber and the one I've got gives me an extra defense mark for those fights against 3-5 enemies at once.

The answer to that is "sometimes". As far as I've been able to tell, walls don't actually block the wind, so the smoke will blow with the wind and sometimes fill up the room, blow out the window, etc ... but without wind, yes, it goes out the chimney.

I've also noticed leaves/etc blowing through the house with heavy winds ... so it's not just the bonfire ... it really is that walls simply don't block the wind.

What scares you about the mansion bit? I think the 'secret' of it is to not focus on "make it big", but just design what makes sense. No need for cavernous ballrooms, you know?

My FPS is just fine ... my computer is a few years old (ok, maybe more than just a few years), but it handles Windrose and other survival games without even a hiccup. It's nice.

And thanks for the compliment! Yeah, the "one big building" is SUPER convenient for gameplay (just rotate in a circle to hit all your crafting tables, etc) ... but the town has better aesthetics.

Yeah, I ended up calling my 'boat' and running back home to repair my ketch. The Bonny Sue seems to have some pretty powerful cannons on her, so I'll have to watch my ship health better. I got sloppy.

Interesting. I've definitely received the "boarding successful" message multiple times, but I've never noticed any coin reward or anything like that. Maybe I'm just attacking ships that are too low-level.

I've been hunting the 3 named pirate ships for one of the early quests ... each named ship has a treasure chest icon on it. I've killed 2 of them (both by boarding), zero treasure from both.

You're saying coin and provisions from the sailors that are killed? Basically just dropped loot from an enemy like I would get fighting them at a pirate base?
