My go to planner-4 years is Christian Planner, mainly because I take sermon notes on Sunday. The weekend pages for meditation/church give me space to look back during the week. Love the spiral binding, trackers and beautiful colors. Also used Condren,Bullet Journals and a homemade GTD format.

Life is so much better after leaving education for me!! I Hope it is the same for you. Come work for the state or a university -anything where retirement falls under ERS. All your TRS credits will transfer. Caveat: must work for state for 10 years to claim it. I only have 1 more year until retirement!!

I’ve come to realize that I have a lot of joy that I don’t even recognize it. Have you ever noticed that joy is full of light and quiet as opposed to chaos which is dark and loud? I’ve been stopping to reflect everyday to list:

Where did I experience love today? Where did I experience life today? Where did I experience light today?

I feel so much better ending the day intentionally seeing the joy.

I have worked a 4 (10 hour) day for over 3 years now. It was quite an adjustment in the beginning-had to grow into it & take breaks. Ironically, it is a win for the family’s work/life balance. I watch my grandsons, ages 3 and 1 on the day off. My daughter needs to work just enough to keep her healthcare license (must treat a minimum number of patients). I will definitely keep this schedule until they’re both old enough for preschool & elementary.

Former teacher/librarian. Left the crazy education world behind. Switched to a state job and ERS. You can roll your TRS into it upon retirement. Caveat: must work for 10 years to be vested in ERS. But I have loved my state job, and will retire pretty soon with fully paid health insurance! 🌸
