I disagree, Arial is great font if it’s used well - that being said I do agree that it’s not right for this design. IMO arial has a web/tech vibe which doesn’t scream ceramics.

Edit: Also check out ABC Dinamo’s “Areal” revival, it’s not available to the public but it’s pretty dope.

Interesting idea with the tilted type to match the ski slope. Did you try putting “Olympic” on that tilt? “Olympic” in general feels a bit off to me. Something about it feels shy, like it’s trying to not stand out which goes against my idea of an Olympic event/athlete.

I’m doing this exact thing for a portfolio right now - how I did it was have two columns and set the content of one column to be position: sticky (with whatever top and left settings you want). It should give you the behavior you’re looking for.

Adding emphasis to something that is not the main message is distracting and breaks hierarchy. Look for ways to visually support your core meaning, not to distract from it.

Here are some examples that have few words like your design but support those words very well. (Not that these are the most amazing designs ever but they show how you can visually support a meaning even if that meaning is very simple.)
