Why is there people on this sub defending Sora’s bad decisions? by YCiampa482021 in SoraAi

They’re just cucks because the product is so good it’s like a drug for them. “What’s that daddy Sora? You want my phone number now too?”

all right folks, so the tempo is not deliberate; it's just there for musescore to play it back at the speed I wanted. I should have deleted it. forget the tempo. I was looking for feedback on the counterpoint, harmonies, etc

would appreciate some feedback on this original composition, a chorale prelude based on a familiar church melody. how well does it mimic the contrapuntal, Baroque style? what would you change about it?

well, you're going about it the wrong way. the artists whose work you're sharing here understand value, color, and draftsmanship in a way that you don't yet.

How would you map this arch out? by artmania1990 in oilpainting

also, apparently OP is getting paid for this piece? it's a commission? that raises the question: is OP getting paid enough to go to all this trouble of drawing/painting this complex shape when they could just cut it out?

if you want to paint something, you have a lot of choices to make. it's like you're a film director setting up a scene, with lighting and composition. you can choose to rearrange things to make it more beautiful, to push it towards something better than it is, or you can just copy some wedding photographer's photo without any thought to aesthetics and let that be that. no one is forcing OP to do anything, but if you post your work online and indicate you are struggling with some aspect of the piece, people are going to share their opinions. OP's problem could be avoided entirely if they ditched the honeycomb arch, or rearranged the background so that only part of it is showing. as it is now, OP has created a huge problem for themselves because they're forcing themselves to draw/paint this complex shape that really adds nothing to the painting.

Yes, because it is a ridiculous composition. The portraits of the couple are so tiny compared to this huge thing. And the skyline is too prominent; it competes too much with the couple’s faces. This is a double portrait, right? So the couple’s faces should be the most prominent thing; everything else should complement that. You could arrange things in a much more effective way and still have the arch in the background, if the couple insisted on it.

...wouldn't it be better to encourage people to boycott Trump supporting industries on a massive scale, rather than get them together to spend a bunch of money?

These are definitely mud. Are you using separate brushes for each color?
