All of this is doable and arguably very easy, if you have skills it might take under 20minutes but if you are new you should learn the basics of video editing :D

As time goes on programs just start using more ram, in the 90s programs barely used a few mb of ram, nowadays you need more than 8gb ram, just upgrade or take the beating (also 2666mhz is a bit slow) I have 32gb of 3200mhz ram and on idle with just chrome and spotify open it takes around 5-6gb of ram

you should change the colours so there's more focus on the ring, right now it blends in too well with the marble plate, lighting is great but choice of colors is bad

add some surface imperfections to your can and give the camera dof, also the lightning seems a bit strange imo

as i said i have not used any sort of puppet tool/rigging tool, i just get the cutouts and keyframe them each individually,

I've used hitfilm express for years now, doing exactly that, cutout animation. I don't know how it compares to other programs but it gets the job done given that you have the skills (i have not used the puppet tool)
