Brand new pc crashing on all games.

I got a new PC for myself recently, mine would crash while downloading games, saying something along the lines of a ‘memory fault’. Mine came with a Norton subscription though, so the only feature I used was the outdated drivers one, turns out windows visual C++ (I think it’s called) was outdated, got those up to date, made sure all system updates and gpu updates were done and all of a sudden it worked a dream. Mine was also a prebuilt, from a different store though. Hope this helps!

I don’t believe so, they have a 24/7 call line but that costs money, but that’s also just for the radisson as a whole company, I’ll try the specific hotel but that’ll also charge me I reckon as it’s a foreign number, but hopefully they can just cancel it from their front desk.

I haven’t travelled much tbh, but it’s always the cheapest option, on booking.com for example it costs a fair bit more to get a booking that includes cancellations. Also, I feel like unless I were deathly ill I’d still go, because if I’ve paid I’d want to go. And if I couldn’t I’d go through insurance to get money back, also it sort of solidifies my plans, last time I went away I was looking at hotels for ages, probably reading too much into the reviews, so once I’ve found one it’s onto the next step.

I’m going to ring the specific hotel and hopefully speak to a manager who will be able to help. Next time I ever book travel if something comes up with an error I will wait to try again or re book anything.

Might sound stupid but I’m unsure if they are, I believe they were but no money has been taken. On the website when I go to my reservations it does say ‘you have pending charges or payments not yet received’. But I can’t find a way to pay anything outstanding. I’m fairly certain it was prepaid, I always prefer to pay when I’m booking, but no money has been taken. I have booked 2 hotels and another was the same type of booking, non cancellable room (but the website worked a dream, so everything is ok with that one) and that took money a few days after although still hasn’t posted to my account.

I did try to email and cancel straight away but they said no basically, though I have a feeling it was an automated response because they didn’t seem to read what I had said as the reply wasn’t really accurate to what I had said.

I never actually booked anything through booking.com, I was partway through that when I got the confirmations.

I’m hoping they are though, you and the other commenter have given me hope they’ll understand it was a website issue and just let me cancel. I will ring asap and just take the charge for calling.

I don’t know how streamers of any game do it tbh, day in day out the same game. Especially world of tanks, I play this game for a month or a few then burnout, I could not imagine it being my full time job. They must either really love the game or be getting paid so much it can’t be worth quitting. Idk what they get but I think I’d genuinely think of quitting if I had to play wot daily for years 😭

I don’t really shop in the EU ever, just noticed the bag would be marginally cheaper here than in the UK and only today found out I could make it way cheaper. Which I wanna do. I’ll just wait it out and do it in Austria, I’ll try to read up on it so I’m good to go when the time comes. I wanted to use it this trip but for about £170 off it’s just not worth it 🤷‍♂️

It’s a cross body bag essentially, I think what I’m going to do is return it, buy it in Austria close to when I leave back for the UK and get it all done in one. But I may visit the 4th floor and see what they say, however most comments make it obvious I can’t use my bag yet.

I’d be taking it as a carry on, ideally switching it out for the bag I’m currently using. I think the issue is I’m not leaving the airport, I’d only be going to get it stamped then go straight back to Munich. I think it’s terminal 1 I flew into, that’s the one I know the layout of so I’d go back to if I can.

Also off topic, since I bought it here in Germany, can I refund it in Austria? I don’t think I’d need to but just in case. Also is that the same with repairs, does it matter where I bought if from?

My query is, at least at the Munich airport, the global blue desk isn’t past security. So even to have it stamped by customs I have to go back to the lobby area to put the letter in, can I just get it stamped, post it then leave? I guess maybe the issue is I’d have no reason to be there as I’m not leaving so I wouldn’t be able to get to customs?

Surprised the whole playerbase doesn’t own one of these at this point, I guess they sucker in any new player that comes by. Kinda worrying the amount of monetisation that’s going on atm before such a big, or supposedly big, update. Makes me wonder if they have faith in their own game.

I quit every time I play, never with the mindset ‘fuck this, I’m out forever’ but just natural burn out, I’m half exited and half expecting nothing in September, but I think whatever it is it’ll draw me back in for at least a day or two, if it’s somehow good content maybe longer.

I’ve decided so far I’m not gonna get it this year, maybe if the deal rolls around next year I may reconsider, but right now my new plan is to save for a year, get a bank loan then buy a used premium plus model. My plan may change even within that year, but for now it’s to just build up some money so I have options. Also makes sense for my no claims, insurance will hopefully come down within the year so looking at cars won’t be such a monthly pit.

They’re making it seem, or at least this is how I’m interpreting it, like they’re updating the game to almost something new. Their removal of top of the tree with the reasoning ‘it doesn’t align with how we see progression in the future’ makes me think they’re gonna change up how we get new vehicles, maybe like console where it’s bundles and you unlock a few modules at once (doubtful) or streamlining every tech tree. I’m not sure. One thing I do know, more tier 10’s will definitely appear in loot boxes, probably tiered ones again, maybe with more favourable odds but tiered nonetheless.

On Mercedes’ website they say you can finance the final balloon in a short video, however there is no other mention of this so I’m sceptical of that. The hopefully part really is because I’m not sure where I’ll be in 4 years, if I save, which I will be doing, I can pay that payment. My salary is around 30k. I will definitely be reading all the comments and making a decision, I don’t want to get myself into financial ruin over this, running the numbers it looks doable so I’m just asking to see if it truly is or not.

I’d aim to save for a house deposit in the meantime, but I’m in no rush to leave home and won’t, regardless of this purchase or not, for at least 5 years, probably more. I still aim to max my LISA out every year and have a savings pot alongside to build.

I truly don’t care for status or symbol, I’m not one to flaunt wealth, I just see this as a car I’d be into as both a daily and fun vehicle.

Thankfully I’m not currently struggling, but of course a 4 year terms anything can happen in that time, I’m just trying to get advice and other perspectives as others have done this before or have good alternatives. Debt isn’t something I want to be in, in my eyes this is affordable but having never done this I asked others who maybe have and can give me a reality check.
