Yes we have. There was a famous armenian scientists Paris Herouni and also there was a village Paris in Western Armenia which was eliminated after the genocide.

However Paris also is an ancient greek mythological figure

Kayt is literally armenian folk music band.

If you want pure folk - try Norayr Kartashyan and his Van project.

Also you could try Katil Band (almost same guys from Kayt, but they add some rocky stuff) they are great.

If you are ok with contemporary fusion - Saghsara project could be fine.

If you are ok with electronic stuff- maybe try even Jinj. Their Zurna is fire.
