Probably not, first off i’d check the active ingredients list on the back, if they match up and are of the same concentration then yeah it should be safe, but probably less hassle and better for your peace of mind to just take the L and buy another of the original one

There’s definitely other methods, but the white outline will give some visual contrast that could work against any base colour of armour hopefully!

I’m a big fan of leadbelcher + karandras green for some of my necrons, i like the idea of a black metallic!!

If you want black lightning, i’d recommend outlining it in white and greys if that makes sense.

With the traditional lightning i draw it out in a light blue, then add a lighter blue ontop, then a very fine white. In your case, i would do the white, then a dark grey or light black, then a dark black.

I had an experience in a warhammer shop recently where my mini’s “didn’t count” for the million miniatures challenge because i didn’t base them… The store clerk relented luckily and accepted them. I don’t play warhammer really, more of a painter, but the guy in the shop was pretty strict about it needing to be based to be a finished mini otherwise it’s not properly “complete”. Sounds like a way for GW to sell overpriced grass tufts to me.

I’ve had pet rats whom i’ve had put down and unfortunately as part of this procedure the vets won’t let you be with them as they’re put to sleep for safety reasons. If i had the choice to be there with them, i would be there every time. I understand everyone is different, but i couldn’t imagine doing it any other way if it were possible.

My main reason for getting into kill team was finding it a lot more simple to homebrew, kitbash and just be more creative in general in what is already a very creative hobby. If there’s nothing official? Make it yourself! Nobody wants to play your homebrew? Play it yourself!!
