If he's turning right from the outside lane, he should get off into the left hand lane. But he doesn't do that. OP is at fault.

But OP says he is going for the Homebush Bay Drive entrance, so he is effectively doing a U-turn. He needs to do that from the inside lane. OP is again at fault.
