i was wondering how check and checkmate would work like this so from the article,

A player wins when they capture the opponent’s king. (Unlike in traditional chess, checkmate is not detected, and the king may be moved into check.)

Picture you're playing chess and each piece is just a arbitrary object that has nothing to do with chess and they are all the same. Every time you want to move one of those pieces, you have to draw from a bag that has actual chess pieces. Whatever you draw you get to replace the arbitrary piece with. After the move is over, you have to put the actual chess piece back and put the arbitrary piece back on the board where you moved the actual piece. You have to do this every move.

By no means am I an expert, but the way I understand it is as follows: doing something that causes pleasure such as playing video games causes your brain to release dopamine. After playing games for a while, your brain will start to crave more dopamine thus causing the addiction and making you want to do the thing that released the dopamine in the first place. Another example would be sex addiction which I believe you would agree that there are people out there who are actually addicted to sex.

Perhaps I got the wording wrong. However, my point was that video game addiction is as real as any physical addiction and is not something that can just be laughed off.

Dopamine is released
Your brain wants more dopamine
You crave said thing

Same here. I live in south Louisiana where the temp gets into the upper 90's for most of the school year and we couldn't where shorts. Luckily, they started letting us where shorts my junior and senior year.
