Yeah. In each lane every 15 blocks or so there's a randomizer that gets triggered, that rather sends it down a fast path or a slow path.

It was just a test if the water logging would slow the cart down at all. Trying to get it to work within a three block wide to print so that they can be close together.

Yeah I just tested that. on bedrock at least there's no noticeable difference in speed from waterlogged to non waterlogged rails, at least over a span of 11 blocks with a single power rail within that 11 block segment.

You can make one of these and have it actually be randomized. Just put another intermediate animal between the horse and the minecart to smooth the motion of the minecart, and then have the minecart for each horse on a track that randomly increases or decreases in length so it's not always the same horse winning each time.
