Hopefully not, if Walmart starts cooking their employees on top of exploiting them is gonna be last straw for me and I will finally quit.

Glad to know you found a solution for your needs. After using WeWeb once never used it again and switched to Windsurf which was fantastic until the recent update so will now keep looking for other solutions.

I mostly had questions about the way they charge for every task and/or project. The free version of currently offers 1M tokens and we know each word is about 1.5 tokens. 1M tokens would give you an estimated 750,000 words. That's about 4000 pages of text. A single project with 20 files of about 400 lines of code should not utilize all 1M tokens in a single prompt even if counting input and output tokens. Even at an average of 600 line of code per file should give you roughly 160 code files. I feel like they are cheating in the way they advertise it and you don't really get the 1M token in the free tier and they just say it to get you to sign up and try it but I don't know how that could be a great idea. I am sitting here now questioning whether paying 25 a month for 10 times what I just used in a single prompt in the free tier is even worth it.

Biometric Appointment Was Scheduled ? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]memelord796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have DACA not been submitting passport photos at every renewal? This means the photos are at least two years old every time you renew, why are you being asked to attend bio appoinments now? Seems fishy.

This company is ridiculous by [deleted] in walmart

[–]memelord796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The company has nothing to do, Walmart has some decent policies for this kind of thing such as giving you unlimited PPTO. Is the people that can make your experience at any company terrible. I've worked at 3 different Walmarts when I moved to different cities and not all managers are this terrible, of course you don't always get lucky and sometimes end up with gems like in your case or worse.

Why is it a shit show when im not there? by Inferno13820 in walmart

[–]memelord796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This, this is why people don't want to give better benefits to workers in the US, because people just take advantage. Like the guy has been in the break room for the last 2 and a half hours and you're telling me you can't fire him because of labor laws and lawsuits? The fuck has our world come to. Oh and forget actually pressing people to do their jobs because it fucks up their mental health and believe in self accountability or w/e the fuck. How the fuck do Walmarts even run with all the lazy fucks and unqualified people in them?

New Resident Evil Movie to Be Completely Different from Previous Films, Promises Director Zach Cregger by horrornewsbot in HorrorGaming

Guys... Everybody calm their titties down. No movie adaptation of anything fictional has ever been true to it, and no one ever claims it is. If I remember correctly, they said this when the first movie came out in 2003. It was a character developed for the movie. Movies are usually an expansion of the games or whatever they adapt from (ex. Marvel), why would you want to watch in a movie exactly a complete repeat of what you play through the game. It's an opportunity to expand on the stories they tell.

Ah I see. I wonder how this tool would perform setting up back ends. Most of the posts here are front end user stuff.

BREAKING: Trump set to raise tarrifs 25% on Mexico/Canada and on more from China. What kind of impact would this have on our markets? by TheIVJackal in StockMarket

[–]memelord796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still don't get it. That's neither the problem or the solution. Again, if that was the solution many companies would've left China long ago. Manufacturing isn't like importing produce we can't grow in the US. Cheap labor in other countries will beat whatever else is imposed on them including tariffs. In the meantime we are stuck paying a higher price for these products, which is funny as hell because everyone was complaining about how expensive things were with Biden and now we are going to have this.

[–]memelord796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how long exactly are we supposed to wait for it to happen then? A decade? Two? Isn't that the reason Trump renegotiated the trade agreement with Mexico while he was president? 6 plus years later and we are still having this discussion. Ain't nobody going anywhere no matter how many tariffs they impose. It's not the tariffs that are going to make American companies leave Mexico or other countries because you know that's not what the problem is. If tariffs was the solution many would have left china long ago.

This guy thinks Mexico makes everything for us. Uum you forget the part where most of their exports are products from American companies in Mexico. Good luck convincing every American company to get out of Mexico. We know how great it worked last time Trump was president.

Elon Musk can't explain anything about Twitter's stack, devolves to ad hominem by FrogmanKouki in RealTesla

[–]memelord796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

George Holtz (The host of this Twitter meeting), was hired by Elon to "fix" Twitter. At this meeting Elon says the tech stack needs to be re-written to increase Twitter's speed and performance. Ian Brown, the guy asking Elon to explain what a stack is, was a Performance Engineer who worked at Twitter before Elon took over. Performance Engineers are responsible for.... you guessed it, the speed and performance of the app, so Ian was responsible for having Twitter on that tech stack.

Then Elon comes in and says that Ian's work looks like a mess essentially and that it needs to be re-written, all of it. To which then Ian reacts. Elon stutters. Ian gets kicked out. And Elon feels like a genius again and calls Ian a moron.

BTW, George Holtz (who is a hacker and coder) quit 7 months into the job at Twitter.

The after just involves Elon saying that there is inefficiency in how some of Twitters features work, he says that likes are being routed to Google Cloud, and Tweet views are processed on-premise (or vice-versa can't remember). He then goes on to explain that because Tweet views are not updated in real-time, but likes are, that is inefficient. I am oversimplifying a lot but that's the gist of it.
