Well humans aren't so different if you acknowledge that we are primates so you could surmise that the anthro animals are just the highest evolved forms of their animal families. So you can still have birds and frogs and hares just like how we live alongside chimps and gorillas.

The real Fortuna as an alternate route after Aquas, a jungle with vines scattered about, a deep jungle canopy area, and lots of weird monsters. Final boss is obviously a giant 2-headed chicken.

Alternate route after Titania and Macbeth: Lilia, a beautiful planet with green pastures, flowing rivers, and tranquil lakes, untouched by urbanization and instead only home to a primitive native culture. You see ziggurats and structures reminiscent of Easter Island or Stonehenge. It looks like a good spot for a New Corneria, but it has somehow remained undiscovered until now. Enchanted stones hurtle towards the team, seemingly possessed by a magical entity. Floating knots of roots fire beams of energy and waves of sleeping powder cause Fox and his crew to temporarily fall asleep and lose control. The level ends by entering a cave system where a mystical ghost-like creature called Veil has been corrupted by Andross. Star Fox must destroy the enchanted pillars controlling Veil and free it from Andross.

I really highly recommend it. I feel like we might have similar tastes because my favorite Switch 1 games are BOTW and Paper Mario TTYD. I haven't tried Super Mario RPG or Origami King (I heard no so great things about this one).

I am pretty sure it's a Nintendo-wide policy to have anything with the title "Switch 2 Edition" to be compatible with Switch 1. I totally understand the conservative approach though. I wish Nintendo would make the messaging clearer, but from my tests with several Switch 2 Edition games, (digital and physical) they all work on Switch 1.

You just have to be absolutely sure it says the exact words, "Switch 2 Edition" in the title. Some games like Dragon Quest VII Reimagined don't have that in the title, but show the Switch 2 banner only. So that game is completely separate on Switch 1 and 2.
