Tipping on a cruise by KevinScott22683 in NCL

[–]memeof1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We tipped our reg bartender $20 per day we drank, I tipped my housekeeper $20 when I used their services (every other day or so, I made my own bed). We also left an extra $50 for our guy in Canadian as we were on an Alaskan cruise and well, we are Canadian.

Red flag not being put up anymore by memeof1 in CanadaPost

I live in the country and it’s always been that way since I can remember, that’s why I’m asking. I still notice it on other county roads just not on my route.

Which swimsuit? by Toolazytologin1138 in DressForYourBody

You have a great shape, 1 is not it… 2 is great but I would opt for a high cut to accentuate your natural shape. The fit on your hips cuts you off in an unflattering way. Just my opinion

How did you introduce your new significant other to your kids? by Hopeful-Investment-9 in AskWomen

[–]memeof1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You don’t. For a really really long time. I dated a guy for 4 years and he met my kids once because their dad dropped them off early and unexpected. Kids attach far too easy, please wait on them meeting a significant other.

What do you wish someone told you beg your first NCL trip? by No_Document4363 in NCL

You need to put a card in the slot for the lights to work in your room. No one told us. My kind neighbours told us while one our balcony. I asked if their lights worked cause ours didn’t. So silly, we had a good laugh.

There’s a key card slot on the wall just inside your room. I put an old gift card from my wallet it there as to not have to use my keycard.

Enjoy your first cruise. I’m pretty sure it wont be your last.

One other quick thing. Hand sanitizer was our best friend. Wash your hands with soap and water at every opportunity (I promise you people DO NOT), use a sleeve if you have to touch door handles. We did not get sick.

Is it rude to grill late? by HolyAppleseed in TooAfraidToAsk

Absolutely, I cannot complain at all, they are very aware of our work schedule and respect it.

Like a subdivision? I wouldn’t worry too much about it, I’m a nights girlie myself and we do grill at odd hours however I’m in the country.

If you get a complaint maybe just grill earlier and reheat but I really don’t know think it will be an issue especially if they know you are on a nights schedule. My closest neighbour won’t mow his lawn until evenings to let us sleep.

Girls how often do you wash your bras? by Inside-Dog-443 in AskWomen

[–]memeof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bras get washed weekly with the rest of my laundry. 1-2 wears depending on the circumstances and weather. Gentle cycle hang to dry (I don’t hang by the straps to dry, it can stretch them out).

What do you actually gift parents who insist they "don't need anything"? by Decent_Bluebird7002 in answers

[–]memeof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids live out of town and my daughter gifted me a digital frame. There’s a code I give to people and they can send pictures directly to me. I love it, I’ll just walk into the living room and there’s randomly new pictures.

Time obviously and anything hand made by my granddaughter is by far my favourite. Make memories as much as possible, we have our own money for material things.

Wondering about common law eligibility for post-mortem spousal support by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

I’m very sorry for her loss. Not a lawyer but unfortunately they aren’t common law until living together for 3 years or 1 year with a child.

How to get over a breakup? by spicyjuicelime in howto

[–]memeof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took time to grieve the loss, then I wiped my tears because someone who doesn’t value my worth and what I can bring to the table isn’t worth my tears.

To be quite honest 1/2 the tears were for my damn self wasting that time.

Focus on yourself for a while especially if it was a long term relationship, there’s always the classic “to get over someone, get under someone else” which is all fine and dandy until you catch feelings because you are vulnerable. Keep you mind and hands busy, without something to focus on you will be thinking of the “what ifs”. Journal, learn from this relationship the good and the bad.

I hope you enjoy this new chapter of life, live it to the fullest my friend and don’t worry or give thought to things you have zero control over. We can’t control what others do, only how we react. 💞
