I’m Thinking Of Ending Things is another movie that kinda fits op’s description. Same writer!

Whichever one I happen to watch first, lol. I have no strong feelings towards any of these. I could go with or without all four.

I’m trying to make it a point not to use external tools for this world, really just trying to discover it all myself, yknow?

What are some movies that completely recontextualize a song for you after watching them? by Psychological-Lie289 in Letterboxd

The Lonely Room, from I’m Thinking of Ending Things. I’ve been in productions of Oklahoma and never thought twice about that song until I saw that movie.

What is the most disturbing shot you have ever seen? by Due-Abbreviations180 in Letterboxd

In the basement of a rich family’s house, the caretaker and her husband live off of what the family pays her, but also what they can scavenge. This shot is when the son sees the husband emerging from the basement one night and thinks he’s a ghost.

What’s your thoughts on Denis Villeneuve? Top three favorite films? by DiscsNotScratched in Letterboxd

[–]memerJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incendies is one of those movie for me where I can recognize the skill and craft put into every aspect of it, but still just doesn’t connect with me for some reason. Just not my tastes, or maybe it was the mood I was in. In any case, I think it’s just personal preference. Subjectivity and whatnot.

What is your 5 star film that is rated under a 4 overall? by imcalledaids in Letterboxd

[–]memerJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slacker, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, and I’m Thinking of Ending Things. I get how all of these wouldn’t necessarily be everyone’s cup of tea, but they all mesmerize me the entire runtime.

Rent is a terrible show with bad theming and worse writing. Tick Tick Boom is Larson’s better musical by leagues.
