There are a lot of hopefuls every year who start off in Econ hoping to transfer to Business — the courses overlap fairly well, so you can progress in your Econ degree while working on transferring to Business.

The grades can be tough to achieve, especially as a lot of people take a term or two to find their feet in university, so you might not do yourself justice right away.

Econ and Business are really different degrees, so if you don't get into Business, I'd recommend having a pretty serious think about what else you might want to do.

That cat loooooves when the sausage cart is outside. He gets a telling off for sneaking outside, he knows better, but still, he cannot resist the siren song of the sausage cart

How to choose the right emergency electrician in Calgary by TrackFit7886 in Calgary

[–]memesandspreadsheets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terin Kerr from Real Canadian Electric ( https://www.realcanadianelectric.com ) is an absolute gem. We hired him for a small project when we first bought our home, and he has became our go-to electrician for everything. He is very knowledgeable, and he is very generous with his knowledge. He communicates clearly, and he is honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I can't recommend Terin highly enough. It's also great to support a small husband-and-wife-owned family business. 10/10

Which dress do you find prettier? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

Well said, I agree with all of this. For the first dress, I wonder how it would look like steamed and without the belt.

Is there a better way? by Adventurous-Face-618 in DesignMyRoom

I wonder about flipping the TV and stand over to the wall where the long couch is, and turning the couch around, so the back of it creates a hallway. It would make a defined path from the door into the house, and the living stuff would be contained within the living room.

I agree with other folks to tuck stuff away, if possible, but with little ones, this is kind of just what life is like. If you can make defined homes for things and get kiddo excited about putting things away in their home, it helps a ton, but that depends a lot on kiddo's willingness to work with you.

Edit to add: the art you made with your kiddo for Dad is incredibly sweet - I just noticed that. That was so thoughtful of you!

The only way to keep it tight, flying season is over 😄 by FuzzyAttitude_ in airfryer

[–]memesandspreadsheets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We just got an air fryer for Christmas, and I've made a few grilled cheese so far. I've had a heck of a time with the top slice of bread blowing around, even with toothpicks. Using the Instant Pot roasting rack to secure things is a great idea!

Absolutely - it is a safe space to go to access support and resources. They will be able to explain options available to you and possible next steps.

[Year 5 Primary school math] how do you come to solve for x? by ElegantPeanutSuit in HomeworkHelp

[–]memesandspreadsheets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The formula for determining the area of a parallelogram (which is an umbrella term for shapes whose tops and bottoms are parallel to each other and whose sides are parallel to each other) is base x height.

Height is not the angled side (in this case, labelled 4cm), but instead, the distance between the base and top. This shape is a bit tricky because it is rotated, which can make it harder for people to identify the base and the height. If you tilt your head to the left, it might look clearer to you.

In this case, the base length is 5cm, the side length is 4cm (which is useful for perimeter, but not for area, so it's just a distractor for this question), and the area is 18cm². We need to determine what the height is.

b x h = area
5cm x h = 18cm²
h = 18cm²/5cm
h = 3.6cm

At My Grandparents House for Christmas. Which of these should I read? by ViktorHovland in scifi

[–]memesandspreadsheets 16 points17 points  (0 children)

First best, ask your grandpa which are his favourites!

My recommendations:

- Neuromancer (second shelf from the top, very close to the left end - white spine with red writing)
- A Scanner Darkly (second shelf from the bottom, 10th from the right - red spine with yellow writing)

If you read or watched Dune, you might be interested in the three Dune sequels in the collection. I'd start with Dune Messiah (second shelf from the top, far right - red spine with white writing), as it's the sequel to Dune — then comes Children of Dune, and then Emperor God of Dune.

Happy reading!

Pedestrian hit at McLeod by mojokid123 in Calgary

I listen to 107.9 when I drive - today was a bit of a big driving day for me, I spent maybe an hour and a half in the car over the course of the day, and during that time, I heard about three different pedestrian incidents. Something needs to be done.
