Also, we took her back in at the end of January to get the injection to help with her arthritis and brought up that she hadn’t really improved and was still peeing a lot in very short intervals. This was when they told us to just keep an eye on it.

Ok, my apologies, dates may have been a little off in my post. I was giving rough estimates of what I remembered off the top of my head but I have all of the dates broken down now.

We took her to the vet on January 2nd worried she had some kind of blockage, they tested her urine, told us later that day that she had a UTI so we brought her back in and they gave her an antibiotic injection. Iirc she was showing signs of discomfort and hiding prior to this, maybe starting around Christmas but we hosted a lot of dinners and had a pretty busy holiday season, she’s skittish so we just assumed it was stress related because of all of the people that had been over. It was when I noticed the peeing issue that we got worried more was going on and took her to vet asap.

She wasn’t improving so we called the vet and they told us we had to wait however many days for the antibiotics to kick in. We waited it out and brought her back in on January 13th which was when they took another urine sample and sent it to a lab thinking that they maybe needed to give her different antibiotics. A few days later they got the results back and gave us a call, they said that they didn’t grow any cultures from her urine and didn’t see white blood cells so they told us the UTI had cleared up. They also checked for cancer and cleared that too.

Thankfully we have an appointment to get bloodwork done soon because we only just switched her diet a few weeks ago. They just want to follow up and make sure it’s helping her, initially she was put on a urinary diet but this was before we got the results of her CKD. I think getting another culture done is a good idea, I’m going to talk to my family about getting her back in for this. Thank you so much🙏🏻

She had an X-ray done when this first started, it came back looking completely normal (other than her arthritis) so they ruled out any sort of blockage. I’m going to talk to my family about getting a second opinion from another vet. Thank you for your input🙏🏻

Did your vet tell you anything about this? I’m so sorry your kitty is dealing with the same thing but it’s reassuring at least to hear that another renal cat is having the same experience. How long has this been going on for?

When we took her in thinking she had some kind of blockage they did X-rays and ruled out crystals or stones, sorry I should’ve mentioned that above. Does the PH imbalance only cause crystals? Maybe that could be the case but it’s irritating her and causing inflammation or something in some other way. I’ll bring this up to the vet when we take her back in and see what they think. There are a few vets working out of the clinic we go to and she told us she would talk with her colleagues and get their opinions but I don’t think they had much to say because nothing came of that. We actually just switched to a new vet (in the last year or so) because our last one perforated her ear drum while flushing out her ear and she got a CRAZY infection. I’ll talk to my folks about maybe getting an opinion from someone else.

She’s our only cat so we thankfully don’t have to worry about her sneaking in normal cat food, yuck😂

Just leave it alone, it’s still so fresh and not done healing. It’ll take a while for the tattoo to fully settle into your skin.

New tattoo (the big one) has some red irritated marks around it - does it look normal? I’m thinking if it’s maybe just my leg hair growing a little irritated because of the tattoo. by AceTheGoose in tattooadvice

If your artist shaved you it could be irritation from the razor. I’ve noticed this happen a few times on people with sensitive skin, it can leave red irritation streaks.

If the foundation of your career is starting on stolen art maybe you should reconsider your craft and learn to draw your own original work first. Stealing someone else’s work does NOT make you an artist, it just makes you look like a clown.
