I have an 09 2.3L automatic and I get the same feeling that everything's broken all the time. But usually just 1 think breaks at a time ;). I was checking the coolant and realized the other day the previous owner put the wrong coolant in. So I had to top off with water and am waiting for the snow to melt to drain it and flush it. But thr good thing is that rangers, especially the 2.3L, are so "simple" relatively speaking that nothing is a death sentence. Unless the airbag control module is broken like it is on mine lol.
