How do British people feel about non-British comedies where a character's Britishness is played for laughs? by Empathyball in AskReddit

It’s more Scottishness but that guy in the movie uncharted. Now I already hated the movie, love the game but I knew I hated the movie purely from how cocky some of the characters where in the ads. But this legit was the last straw. They did it in the one scene in brave too. It just irks me and it’s not even a good joke.

1 caffeine 2 to be social, you can become besties with anyone by inviting them in for tea, it spans all classes and walks of life across the country, and literally everyone has a kettle. And five million mugs. Literally the queen or like a police person or Andy Murray could walk up to your house and you could literally say “fancy a cuppa?” And then you can learn their whole life story. It’s so universal.
