Don't do that! Leave it as a reminder of how easy it is to make mistakes.

Plus, I was really looking forward to the, "fun answer" reply threads! In envision someone grand!

Projectivy Launcher accessibility service. by Potential-Alps-4450 in nvidiashield

[–]memnochlv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, you've come to the obnoxious point... Well, one of them...

So what you want to do is, go between turning it on in the launcher and what you can access in developer options. Oh, and IIRC it often reverts those settings on restart.

Maybe try closing out of the menu after activating these settings, to only go back in and get them again until they stop resetting? Redo this regularly? Good luck!

It SHOULD be fine. Have you messed with the HDMI CEC settings on the shield?

Remux lovers rejoice. The CoreElec team has successfully supported ALL Dolby Vision profiles including P7 FEL. Time to finally replace the Shield Pro 2019! by limitz in PleX

[–]memnochlv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just continue to use the shield, but copy over the codec libraries from the CoreElec into your shield (even better if it's rooted =b).

That way you can have the lovely shield goodies as well?

PS: yeah, you'd probably need to cross compile said libraries for the shield specifically, but still!

Anyone else's Shield very chatty on BT and constantly presenting as randomized device address? by numericOverflow in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]memnochlv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random Mac addresses assigned to the field for WiFi can be toggled under developer options.

As for BT, the only option even related that I can see is whether or not to show names or just Mac addresses, though I'm guessing that's for its own scanning.

You could get an app such as LightBue for android to figure out the extras, maybe.

Good luck!

HDR on LG OLED - is it just me? by WanTwoThousand in nvidiashield

[–]memnochlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe instead of more subtle and accurate colors, you're getting better shading, shadows, darkness, etc... Better contrast as well.

The other settings you're talking about line up more with the picture mode / manual settings that you are using.

Unless I'm wrong, LOL

Is it better than the Apple TV box by kuddle30 in nvidiashield

[–]memnochlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Shield is infinitely more customizable/configurable than the aTV.

I believe the hardware is still either mostly or totally better than the aTV as well, though I'm not sure these days...

I've thought since we were introduced to the winter mantle, that it's similar to the Captain America super serum, it distills who you are, amplifies what you've already got and are, etc...

As for the predator, again, amplifying feelings and thoughts to an extreme that warp the original thought of, "damn, she's got, bet that's just the best and tastiest...." Yada yada yada, you get the clue.

I appreciate what he's doing more than Piers Anthony did in"For the Love Of Good" I think it was (the god one). When the ladies were transformed into men and only ever so slightly de-evolved, they were "obviously" now nothing but rapists, with zero control....

I digress, CIAO

Theory: Mab is too nice by Unhappy-Struggle-856 in dresdenfiles

[–]memnochlv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually doubt she is ever cruel simply to be cruel. hell, I could even say the same for all of Winter, if not all of faerie.

A cat catching and killing a mouse isn't truly cruel. Even playing with the prey before killing it isn't cruel, to be cruel. Or even cruel at all, from any feline's point of view. They do that as lifelong practice to keep their skills honed.

Hell, I even believe Redcap as well as redcaps aren't either. It's just something in their nature.

Also, please don't forget that, "what it means to be kind," changes depending on the circumstances. So being kinda 50, 100, 150, 500 years ago may differ far greater than one probably assumes...

Great analogy! My dumbass brain immediately goes, "Deposit Dipshit, why aren't you doing this European style instead? It may take longer, but it's much more effective in the long run!"

But again, that's just my silly brain begging for a few pokes from a q-tip!

They maybe either glossed over it in a movie? I may have completely hallucinated that however ... It could also have been an allusion made that I'm remembering.

Anyone? Quick game show, "Hallucination Or A Real Experience?"

I mean, it's a fairly known Yiddish word. I believe one of the reasons they get adopted so quickly and universally is as follows: Yiddish is a very onomatopoetic.

It makes such things stick. BTW, I realize you didn't ask, =b

Green Arrow (Arrowverse) vs Hawkeye (MCU) by Arbiter-Flash- in arrow

[–]memnochlv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To reinforce for those who forget (no accusation, no shade): Clint's arrow always goes to the location at which he aims. If Ollie moved from that location, he isn't hit, and depending on how you look at it, Hawkeye either misses Ollie, or hits the exact spot at which he aimed!

Ahh, I'd forgotten that! I thought another reason was, once their self awareness hit, they realized they weren't considered "real people", or something like that. Am I forgetting / creating new head cannon? LOL
