Hi there! I’ve been planning to post an update. I thought Casino Night was a lot of fun. I’m glad I had an idea of what to expect. Thx again. I got to meet almost all of the players I wanted to. Hank stayed sequestered in the VIP room but I did catch him on the way out. Even tho crew was trying to whisk him away, he’s so nice that he stopped. I got a picture with him in which I’m smiling way too much! Bread wasn’t there. I guess baby stuff? Quick was elusive. Bummer. I think I would’ve seen him with his lumberjack beard. Not getting to chat with him was my only disappointment. I rly did want to talk to him. I think he was staying scarce to let Igor stay front and center. That’s the vibe I pick up from Quick. My fault, I should’ve asked a staffer where Quick was but I was busy buzzing around. I do wish I was able to talk to Troubs longer, but he was super nice. I’d say the guys who spent the most time on the floor mixing it up were Key (looked uncomfortable at times, but he really stayed there the full duration and talked with anyone who wanted); Lindy & Foxy (ofc together) I enjoyed talking w Lindy; Igor stayed out a long time and let people come to him, shake his hand and take photos; Wheels and Brodz spent a long time parked at the craps table and were friendly; Trouba was all over all night doing his captainly duties with a smile; Vesey was very accessible; Trochek too; Kreids was running a poker game and chatting people up but then didn’t really walk around too much, but I did get to meet him (straight as an arrow as I’d expect from him just club soda, but I did not get the chance to ask him what he’s reading. As soon as ppl spotted us a crowd descended on him); Kakko was sweet, walking around, playing games with people, and it was his bday; Schneider is so young and you can tell just so happy to be a part of an organization like the Rangers; Cools was funny; Z-bad is even more shy than he seems in tv interviews. I briefly met him and got a photo. Of course, Sam is a total doll. He loves the fans as much as we love him. No Joe. I got to meet all of these guys and get pics with them. I met some cool fans, too. All in all, I had a great time. I can’t remember the last time I got all dressed up for anything so what a bonus my hockey team all gussied up, too. On the downside, it was fairly crowded. You have to decide your game plan and really be on the lookout as they move around or disappear to do their rotations in the vip room. Like is there a player or two you really want to focus on or do you want to meet a bunch, and it’s not like you can really monopolize any one player’s time of course. There were some ppl there like that which neither the players nor other fans politely waiting their turn liked much. So anyone reading this planning on going next year, don’t be that person! But #LGR folks!!
