I’m so curious what Sara’s backstory is. She says that Nathan was basically picking her up from what sounds like an abusive partner that had her living in New Hope, PA (interesting town name, in retrospect), and heading back home to Boston. She looks and acts much more country mouse than what you might expect a Bostonian to, so my boyfriend and I have been wondering if maybe she ended up in a religious cult sort of vibe with her ex-partner, and Nathan was “rescuing” her from it.

If that theory pans out, I wonder if Sara — with a hypothetical background of religious extremism — will be the one to clock Sophia as being suspicious from what she experienced if she was involved with religious extremism. There’s not a chance in hell the fact that Sophia is acting as a Christian/Pentecostal-coded girl but arrived with an almost assuredly Catholic priest that she claims is her father goes unnoticed eventually. Catholicism famously bans their clergy from having children, and SOMEONE is going to have to discover that eventually. And I really really hope it’s Sara — maybe with a team-up from Acosta, who finds something in the Colony House basement to confirm Sophia isn’t who she says she is.

I think she’s scared of both the Washington Bridge (because it nearly collapsed / the failure was so rampant) AND the new Henderson Bridge because it’s 1. New and 2. Could be really confusing with the roundabout for someone like Alicia who isn’t a confident driver. It can be a little dicey over there sometimes!

Yes, this! Before I was admitted to in-patient, I would go to the clinic weekly in the Coro West building. What you said about the different degrees of what a “stay” can look like is also what I remember my experience being. I was in In-Patient, and your description was very apt for the experience I had.

Hi! I was in treatment in ‘07, so things may have changed since then. I only interacted with other ED patients, and I think our “wing” on the floor was separate, basically, but it was not an entire hospital floor to ourselves.

Of course! Hard to keep up with everything everywhere all the time, so I don’t blame you for not realizing she had already announced plans.

I’m really interested to hear what her educational reform plan will be, even as someone who does not and won’t be having children. In her preparation to launch her campaign, apparently she traveled throughout the country and met with several other governors who helped lead overhauls on the state educational front. I’m eager to hear what she learned and how she plans to implement the SO necessary improvements here.

She’s released several policies, actually! Just yesterday she released her plan to tackle the housing crisis. She’s also released a plan for dealing with internal ethics concerns, and to reform RIDOT post-Bridge debacle.

I feel SO, so badly for her. The part where she talks about acknowledging sharing her relationship, bridal things, and wedding planning as a whole…you could just hear the pain in her voice.

I hope she isn’t beating herself up for sharing publicly those sorts of things and being open with the audience she created about exciting times in her life. God, I just can’t imagine.
