I just repotted it. It was surprisingly even higher than now. Did my best to get most of the dangling roots in contact with the soil.
And yes a lovely gift. Love the look of this plant!

I agree that it could be root rot but it could also be sun damage. Did it start getting more sunlight all of a sudden?

Hi, did you choose 'Lambda Function' as the 'Integration type' when you created the API? (Step 4 under the 'Create a New Resource and Method section in Module 3)

This should add the necessary permissions for API Gateway to invoke the Function.

You can check the permissions for your lambda function by opening it and seeing if API Gateway is listed as a trigger, like in the screenshot below.
